Should have put a serious bid in last summer and we might have had a chance in the CL then. It's a big weight off Messi's shoulders to have someone else who can create but it's no good when we need a goal against a parked bus of Chelsea next month and he can't play.

Liverpool were not selling him.

Not close. Didn't notice people being half upset with Neymar leaving. More of a shock really that he proved to be such a snake.

Yeah I’m with Bojan on this one. Yes there were a fair amount of people that were pissed but the circumstances were much different. Neymar never asked for the transfer and just did it behind our backs, and in all honesty it is what it is. You can’t hold a fucking person hostage if they don’t want to be playing for your team. While I don’t like the faking of the injuries Coutinho has acted like a true professional otherwise. Liverpool fans have to man the fuck up and stop being fucking pussies.

PSG were getting it with both barrels.

'Slavery' 'ruining football' 'oil money' etc. Easy to go back and read thread on here and all things that were said previously but amplified massively.

It has carried on till now and PSG are far more hated than before.

Will almost always be the case that fans losing good players in these situatons will feel frustrated and angry towards club taking the player.

My main issue with the Neymar deal was the whole timing of it.

I accepted the idea he wasn't going to stay here forever but it would have been much better if he had announced his intentions much early on in the summer than being quiet about it towards the end of July and him finally leaving in August.

It put is in a pretty bad spot as it was around that time where most teams weren't considering to sell of their star players like Coutinho. We did get Dembele but that itself was a transfer that took awhile to finally happen.

The main outrage in the Neymar transfer was about him stabbing us in the back and leaving like an idiot, tossing in the trash all the 4 years he spent with us. Most Barca fans don't care about keeping a player who doesn't want to stay. I remember Barca fans wanting Neymar out after he betrayed the club.

If Neymar said publicly he wants out, he'd have been sold. Simple as that. With or without the buyout. But he was a chicken shit and was too scared to face the backlash from fans by being open about his intent to become a PSG player this summer. Coutinho made it clear that he wants to move by handling a transfer request, was pretty honest and straightforward with Liverpool. Neymar never did that until he signed with PSG. So there's no comparison between the two.

Yeah I guess you’re right when we’ve got some members who want Real to beat them in the champions league. :facepalm1:

Thats just madness but then there are fans that wanted to see Messi at Man City so nothing surprises really.

There is a far worse feeling towards PSG since they signed Neymar.

No chance the PSG or Real question would even have been asked before last summer.

According to the Telegraph, Liverpool would listen to offers around the 130 Million Pound mark to even consider selling him this january.

The Guardian is reporting the same as well.

[Paul Joyce] Coutinho confident he has played his last game for Liverpool

IT'S HAPPENING

Another tier 1 journalist with more bad news for liverpool fans

Quote from that article.

Philippe Coutinho believes he has played his last game for Liverpool, but it will take an offer in the region of €150 million [about £133 million] from Barcelona if the Anfield club is to consider letting him leave this month.

All Liverpool mouthpieces saying that if we're willing to pay 150m he's ours.

Make us proud B-dog!
