He has been performing better than all the players who were signed by Barto since his arrival , except Umtiti and Mats . if you are judging players on the standards set by Xavi you will never get to see a barca quality player again

We kept hearing about how everyone knows we have a bank full of $$$ after the Neymoney deal, and that every club is out to fleece us. If Liverpool has to buy someone now, considering that everyone knows the money they have, and that it's a winter window, you'd reasonably expect them to get fleeced big time. Especially if they buy from within England, where prices are ludicrous to begin with.

We definitely didn't need him now in January as La Liga is our to lose. Maybe Messi was promised this, maybe Nike had to be appeased, maybe we already agreed it with Coutinho in summer and he didn't want to wait. Who knows.
But it's definitely a message to everyone who thought this club is going to tubes. We signed one of the best young players on the planet in summer, secured Messi when some "fans" wanted him gone, and now got best epl player.

But we need to offload a few players this summer.

They already spent half of the money to buy Virgil van Dijk even before the announcement of Coutinho. Naby Keita is also on his way to Liverpool. They'll probably buy 1 or 2 more players with the remaining money.

We got 200+ for Neymar and spent it on 2 good players instead of 10 mediocre players like we usually do. For once the board did well imo.

Unless and until Iniesta can be rested and he himself can maintain his God level even by lending his minutes to Coutinho and he remains injury free. AND this move does not kill Dembele's chances of settling down well, this would remain wrong timing

If anything Dembele can now work in the shadows and integrate to the team without huge expectations while the press and everyone else are focused on Coutinho.
