Said all the time that there's no way someone can play so many games in a year while people were responding that the club/player know best what they are doing and such

Clown of a club.

Calma, his body just decided to take a needed self-initiated rest. He will come back recharged and look more lively than before.

Laporta: "Pedri has not had any relapse, he has been lapsed all the time"

🚨🚨🚨[ @fansjavimiguel🥇] | Pedri will not be able to play until 2022 at the earliest. His recovery starts from scratch after suffering 2 relapses, and although it is not ruled out that the 'Golden Boy' may return even later, he will be like a new winter signing for Xavi.

I blame the Olympics more than anything. Retarded decision (on his part) in hindsight.

Was not his decision. He had to go there as he was called up and Barca couldn't prevent that.

Our three winter signings: Alves, Pedri and Braithwaite. :laporta:

Pedri says no and he doesn't play the Olympics. They wouldn't have forced him. Unfortunately he badly wanted to, which is quite understandable. It's a once in a life time opportunity after all.

Not so sure he could say no.

It should be a common sense by people in Spanish federation to not call him up (and some other players - I'm sure Sociedad and Villarreal also weren't happy to let their key players like Oyarzabal and Pau Torres go to Japan but they couldn't do anything about that) being called up to two international tournaments in the same summer.

Tbh if FIFA/UEFA would really care about the players (they don't) it should be in their regulatives that a player can't play in more than one big international tournament every year.

All that said, a lot of blame for Pedri being overplayed is also on Koeman. He shouldn't have frozen out Pjanić and Puig. They are maybe not good enough to start but they could easily come on in 2nd half of games to give some rest to Pedri (and Busi and FDJ as well).

Anyway, it is what it is now. Give Pedri as much time as he needs to recover and let's hope Xavi and his new coaching/medical staff will take a better care of players, especially younger ones. Rotations are needed and with Gavi and Nico we'll have more options in midfield to do that once Pedri will be back as well.

Our problem now is depth in attacking area with all the injuries there but hopefully some of the youngster (Ilias, Abde, Demir) will use playing time they'll surely be given in next weeks to earn Xavi's trust. And then maybe we can bring a useful reinforcement in January.

Pedri is a little but overhyped. Gavi and Nico bring more to the table. A good break till 2022 will do him good.

This is a blessing in dsiguise for him and for the team.
