8 - Pedri

1. Fati
2. Pedri
-----------
3. Trincao & Puig

Fati has shown more so far (but he's already had one full season in the first team) but talent wise I'd put Pedri ahead of him and think he'll have a better overall career. We could be optimistic about both of their futures though as long as Fati recovers well from his injury and they can stay healthy.

Also, I think once his nerves settles Trincao will prove his doubters wrong and be much better than Puig (different positions I know so can't really compare them) whom I've never really rated too much. And most coaches seems to agree.

Since he's fucking 17 of course I will remain agnostic but nothing I have seen has really convinced me about Pedri.

He's had 10 appearances now and if I count the great actions of his, I remember one, maybe two.

There have been lots of good actions. A few goals, none of them that difficult. A few nice touches, a few sexy moves that didn't really amount to much. A few incidents of intelligent playmaking.

But all of it a bit on the timid side. Over 500 minutes as a 10 or winger and not a single assist. The backheel touch to Griezmann is one of the few great action I remember and he was unlucky there, but besides that there's not much to come for.

Of course it has something to do with his age and that he lacks courage, but then he's not ready to be a starter. If you start as a 10, you should at the very least produce 1 or 2 big chances in each game. He just hasn't done that.

Was Iniesta ripping teams apart in his first 10 official matches for Barca? How old was him?

He creates chances in every game. Was unlucky not to get assists vs Alaves and Getafe (where Griezmann skied it) too. His creativity is arguably his most impressive attribute smh

I like Pedri more, but Fati goal scoring ability will always make it easier to appreciate him more.
I am not convinced with Trincao yet, I think he is better than what he showed but also I think Barca was too early move for him.

I haven't really been that impressed by pedri as of yet, if they should both develop as we all hope, fati is the much much bigger talent for me.

He scores, creates his decision making his top notch. A real star if he develops.

Pedri will be a David Silva at best, fati could be something different altogether.

I think world class midfielders usually peak later than forwards. Don't remember any of the world's greats being any better than current Pedri. Who and where was Zidane at 17?

True. At least wait for Pedri in his 20s which is 4 years away from current.

He will develop alot

I've never been more confident in a talent in a while. Never really found Alenya, Puig, nor Arthur that enticing as the mainstream fans.

He might develop to become world class. Just saying that nothing has convinced me that it's a certainty.

Even in those short Iniesta clips from his debut year, in the immediacy and precociousness of how he executes his plays, there are flashes of a mastery of time and space that I haven't seen replicated in Pedri.
