8 - Pedri

If the club actually listened to what some of the people here said, we would have already lost players like Xavi, Iniesta, etc. way before 2008 haha.
Obviously not saying Pedri, Gavi, etc. will reach such GOAT levels but it's just ridiculous how they whine about the players all the time.

So very true !

Overrated, true, but can't think of better 19 year old midfielders. He shouldn't be playing under this level of pressure, it's the club's fault, not his. He should be a sub like Thiago Alcantara back in 2013.

He is burdened with too much of a role for his current ability, because the club is in a bad state.

True apart from the overrated bit ..

Pedri would be a starter for majority of top teams in Europe but is another one being made to look worse at times by Xavis tactics that are not about putting ball at feet of midfield and lettting them dictate.

The one midfielder he gives freedom to in majority of games is... his fav.. Busi.

City, Bayern, Real, Liverpool, City = I don't see why on Earth would they use him.

City x2?

He would be in ahead of very Liverpool mid at moment and Klopp is trying to change their midfield from what have been in past.

I think Pep would love him at City.

He was better than any Bayern mid in game over there as well.

That is four teams and he would get in majority of top sides in my opinion and just about all would be after him if available.

The issue for Barca is when try to play him in way Xavi is too often and team lacking other elements when have gypes like Busi behind him.

Shit even Xavi doesn't know what to with him, for along time he was used as an attacking mid, then he dropped down , by own choice or by design i don't know but he got the ball a lot more and where more involved and now Xavi stuck in as left mid, where he seldom have chance to get involved. Its like you see all this talent but have no idea how to mold him to anything effective, that's a weakness of Xavi (another one), get him the right environment and the right coach and he would be absolute masterful.

I meant City, Real, Bayern, Liverpool, Psg.

I don't see why those teams would want a guy who is not good at attacking, not good at defending, not good in physical department, and goes missing in his role left = midfielder.

Dont agree as said and think all would take him and likes of Pep would love him and think he has huge qualities to work with and develop further.

As usual you change goal posts. A couple years back Pedri was shite and over rated and would amount to nothing.

Now he has been best mid at a Euros at 18, voted Golden boy etc it is about.. would he at 19 get in every top side

He wouldn't start for City or Bayern but they'd definitely love to have him in their squad. Got masses of potential but unfortunately he's bearing a burden neither Xavi nor Iniesta had at their age.

He's 19 I don't know why people are expecting prime xavi for him, he should be starting in a midfield with two more senior & experience players, but at the momemt we don't have that.

Busquets is slow & in his last year.

Gavi is in the same situation has him & should be coming off the bench more.

De jong is just a total waste of 85m euros.

So he's doing exceptionally well under the circumstances.

Needs to work on his stamina above all, because he looks gassed by the 75th minute, but it's improving when he just came through under Keoman he would legit look like a shell by around that time.

26 more days, and we won't have to listen to this excuse anymore.

Born: November 25, 2002 (age 19 years)

It is not an 'excuse' and 20 is still a young player developing also.

As said it is a constant changing of goal posts as always happens with BBZ.

It starts with over rating a young 16/17 year old Pedri performing well to he wont amount to much and now it is being argued he cant start for all top sides.

Usual shite.

Idk even know what to do with this, typically BBZ arguing without context, I said multiple things after that.

Also a 20 year old is still a young & developing player.
