You can't get lucky if you use your hand poorly or don't play at all. Loosing Thiago, for example, was just bad play. Not developing any future plans for smooth transition for veterans to younger players and disregard of la masia was forfeiting the game. You don't get lucky, when all you do is make marquee transfers. It ends up another galacticos.

Thiago was played a lot and covered for Xavi when out. He wasnt disregarded.

He moved to Bayern as could see Xavi and Iniesta were a long way from finished and would not be a starter any time soon.

lul

When Thiago left Xavi was already on his last legs. A year later he tried to leave the club but they had to convince him to stay, and even then his role was still significantly reduced.

It's not about being better lol, it's about him being on his 'last legs'.

Read through it if you think he wasn't passed his prime by the time Thiago left. People no longer thought he should have been playing as much as he did, that he should be rotated and rested more often, and that his peak was long gone despite being able to pull out class performances every now and then. No way someone as young as Thiago looked at Xavi and thought "man I'm never getting a chance am I, he's going to be around for awhile."

The point is he was still better than Thiago that season and Thiago could not see a starting spot any time soon so left. He has said he left for first team football it is no conspiracy.

Thiago was 22 and would be starting in just about any team in world and wanted to be at that point.

Why do you think Thiago left?

Thiago played a lot of football in the season before he left. Rotation minutes was not what he wanted and has also said that.

In ideal world for future of club Thiago would have been starter even if not the better player but Xavi and club were not making that happen at that point.

You guys need to relax, Pedri is good and I hope his development continues so he become a WC. But I don't want us to jinx it, I still remember how we kept saying how lucky we were to get Umtiti
