Fabregas and Alexis were both "luxury' signing that were meant to help build on the CL winning team.

Instead, Pep tried to force them into the starting positions and ultimately dismantled a lot of efficiency we had with the that 2010/2011 dream team instead of building on it.

Looking back on it, we should consider ourselves fortunate to won as much as we had in the 2010-2020 decade. Our recruitment of players was nothing short of horrendous.

Villa, Suarez, Masch, Neymar, Alba, Rakitic, Bravo and Ter-Stegen, FDJ (?) are really the only the ones you could really call successful transfers looking back on it.

9 successful transfers over 10 years...LMAO.

Guess you could also consider Mathieu, Digne and Cillessen as successful back-up players but still doesn't change much.

Umtiti was great signing. Re-signing not.

Alexis was really good, just didnt fit our system (he bossed serie A with udinese and was Chile main player in their international tournament).

He was a Coutinho/Griezmann level signing. Great players in the right system, but clueless outside of it.

Alexis always thrived in a free role in the forward line which he was never going to get at Barca and was incredibly frustrating as a result.

Umtiti was great signing. Re-signing not.

I'd say Umtiti was a smart signing in terms of recruitment but not a great one given his career trajectory.

That is a lot of successful signings over 10 years if you ask me

I am saying we got lucky because of players like pedri, Fati and Araujo.
Without them the only possible future starters would be FDJ and dest.
So, despite our really bad management, we still have some talents coming through.
If the team had signed dembele, griezmann and Coutinho, we would be in a much better State.

If he can shoot more then he will be one of best mid in the world.

Don't know why Barca midfielders barely shoot. Messi won't be here long to save the day all the time. It is 2021 soon.
