I'm done with these unbalanced players. Sure Araujo can defend the best when not committing pens but his passing fourth tier division level. We need technical players in all positions.

His passing is good, he is often giving brilliant diagonal long balls to Balde. Also i dont remember a goal you concede after bad pass by Araujo. He was bad in passing until last season, but from 22/23 he is progressing visibly.

Araujo passing is not about giving away goals it is about how hard Barca are finding to build from back at times when have him and Kounde then likes of Balde together in a back 4.
His passing has got better but still far far from being comfortable on ball compared to even the average to top CBs on that side of it.
Teams seem to approach it two ways.. if sitting off they try to funnel it to Araujo/Kounde etc and let him pick the pass and he has got better at some cross field balls etc when has time but nothing great for amount of time given.
Then others leave him/Kounde free for pass and then press once get it.
Araujo on his own with top players on ball around him fine but when have a few at same time it is noticeable.
Feels at time with Araujo he has to think a lot about his passing/positioning etc as doesnt come natural and needs a leader beside him to organise as he has enough on plate trying to get his basics right before worrying about others.
On the other side of it he is probably best ever athlete seen for a CB and 1v1 defending but needs to get better in other areas.
Genuinely Barca could have a better defence with a player that could organise, pass ball and was better positionally at moment in comparison to those have.

Lol, you are talking about “how hard is for Barca to build from the back”… when thats the main responsibility not for Araujo, but for your boy FDJ, who is on the line of CBs when Barca are starting to build from the back 😀

That period had way more physicality and violence in the game. No VAR.
Would Pepe get away with some of the stuff he did today? Would Ramos....? Would Diego Costa....?
Ozil thrived under Wenger in a hyper attacking high pressing style of play. Also thrived in the German NT setup in his pomp.

Definitely a 10. Is there any reason why Xavi keep trusting Pedri in that role? Xavi wants to train him or just he wants to fit all Pedri - Frenkie - Gundogan in the line up?
Either way there is no result so far.

Nah it is part of all top teams to to be able to play from back and when have too many that struggle it is noticeable.
My boy FDJ builds from back with best of them.
The fact he has to drop so often as defenders struggle is another problem. There is too often players dropping who should be staying in midfield as options.
See how quickly Cubarsi finds FDJ and Gundo in comparison.

FDJ dropping deep is exactly the plan, not happening because of Araujo struggling. When FDJ drop back there is more space for Gundogan/Pedri/Fermin/Gavi in between the lines.

Nope it isnt always the plan but happens when they are struggling to build up.
Often he will stay higher up when teams not pressing etc.
As said... see Cubarsi who was finding Gundo and FDJ with quick balls between lines for the difference.... not when FDJ or Gundo were dropping to get it.
Araujo is not good on ball and it has its draw backs particularly when have others around him not great on it.
Could see clear as day Bilbao targeted that weakness midweek in Barcas build up and tried to feed them the ball and smother the easier balls into FDJ and Gundo.

If this was the plan against Bilbao it was a horrible plan as it worked 0.
He had to drop back because as Jammy said none of our defence guys was able to play the ball forward so Frenkie had no choice, didnt work either because Gundo was rarely free and without Frenkie you missed someone in the middle.
