I wonder how he and De Jong gonna play together from now on. De Jong likes to take the ball. Pedri also must see the ball most to make the best out of him.

I don't think de Jong and Pedri is a workable midfield.

De Jong doesn't have the tactical discipline to play DM, he will want to progress the ball forward too often with his runs, which will mess up the entire system..

Would like to see Frenkie + X and Olmo upfront next week. On paper it also looks really good.

But I agree it's more Pedri or Frenkie and not both of them together.

I would see a de jong Gavi system working, we played it a few times last season and it looked promising.

When you think about it, they compliment each other very well.

Gavi gives De Jong some Balls and Energy, De Jong has a wider range of passing to his game at this point.


De Jong Pedri is a no no IMO.
