The future looks good, Pedri, de Jong, Fati are mainstays of the team with ter Stegen, Dest and Dembele as long as he overcomes his injury. Bring in Halaand and we set.

Just imagine

..................mats
Dest..araujo....upamecano...gaya
..pedri........fdj....puig
Dembele..haaland..fati

His composure alone makes him better than Puig - with a big difference. Its crazy how much I enjoy seeing him on the field and one of the reasons why its still worth watching Barca. 18 years old, oh my. I rate him higher than Fati tbh, Fati had times he went totally invisible but this guy is always present and at least offering 6/10 performances.

He seemed flat, but still was contributing a lot to our victory with his sheer presence. Also lacks contribution in the final third, but I feel like he is improving on that front. Anyway great, great gem and better than Puig aka di Maria.

It was a really weird feeling seeing him play as DM in Busi position. And it was a weird game because Frenkie played 70 minutes as CB.

What I thought the most bizarre thing I saw would be Pique playing as CF back in the day.

His ball control alone is already far better.

I thought Frenkie would be the dmf but if we had another player in that ppsition that was solid then our midfield would be very strong.

[SER] | Andoni Zubizarreta, former Bar?a goalkeeper, and sports director: "If Pedri's name was Pedrinho, he would cost €50 million"

To be fair there is a Brazilian Pedrinho that we were once linked with but he's not exactly lived up to the hype and is mostly a bench warmer at Benfica now.

Very reminiscent of what was said about Pedro back then.
Surely he would cost more than €50 million right now, even named "Pedri", though?

Is there a background to his nickname? Does it mean 'Little Pedro' like Pedrito?
Both him and our old Pedro are from Canary Islands and they both have a similar nickname. Now as we all know Pedro turned away from the Pedrito nickname as he got older.

So will Pedri evolve into Pedro in the future?
Important questions these.
