Pedri is getting weaker or should be tired from take much time. He must playing deep inside. I dont want to see another player like Rakitic style playing

Best midfielder around
Lost count of how many times he got outmuscled and lost the ball tonight. Been in bad form for quite some time now.

way overplayed this season. don't think we ever had a signing bossing the appearances stats in his first season.

hopefully this doesn't affects him physically.

Funny how much opinions can differ. I thought he was excellent vs Huesca (and vs PSG after a rough start). His turn before the Griezmann goal was class. Hes our fastest passer right now. Barely takes time on the ball to release it.

One thing that I think we're underrating, is how he's managed to adapt. My biggest concern when he arrived was whether he was another "too slow for LW and too weak for CM" type of player.

We've had players like Denis, Arda and Coutinho who are very much like Pedri in their physical limitations.
Denis came as a talent from City. Arda as a versatile player from a hard working Simeone side. Coutinho as a technically gifted player putting in great performances in both NT and Premier League.
Different backgrounds, but very much the same type of skillsets. There are probably more examples.

None of these managed to do what Pedri did, which is to adapt to a position that actually exists in this Barca side.

Re the Griezmann assist. He did the right thing but it's not like it was anything above what should be expected of any midfielder. I think it was a situation where you'd be annoyed if he hadn't made the pass. Had good space, good time, and the pass was very simple, not a through ball or anything.

Perhaps an indication that people are wearing rose coloured glasses with Pedri for some reason. He ticks all the right boxes personality wise and aesthetically. Maybe we should be a bit more critical when evaluating his actual effect, is what i'm saying.

Hes neat on the ball, but his workrate is easily his best asset at the moment. Not what you usually associate with 18 year olds.
