at first i thought that he couldve headed the ball instead of punching it.
but the replays suggested that it was too far from his head and the ball was fast

Very sacrificial. +1

And to think I was calling him an idiot earlier in the game because he was diving so much... which I still have a gripe about but still. The point is, it wasn't a dirty sneaking handball, I'm sure he was positive he would get caught and sent off but did it because it was the only thing he could do to save Uruguay from elimination.

Shame really...Very dishonorable from Suarez and worse still, again, from FIFA...one match??

Shouldn't play another second in this WC

wasn't dishonorable at all, just instinctive, he's countries about to go out he just reacts to the situation without a seconds thought and the only viable option to prevent the goal is to block it, he is caught out, dismissed.

its just like NBA. the commit a foul on purpose to send some one to the penalty spot(freet throw) and hope to get lucky

And if Gyan had scored, nobody would even care how dishonorable he has acted. btw as you see from the immediate reactions of the ghanaian players when the pk was awarded, everybody was clapping and grateful for the pk.
only the miss leads to the anger with suarez, like you search for an alibi and the ultimate scapegoat.

1st half of Ajax-Milan and Suarez is MoM so far. He tracks back, sets up his teammates and gets into opportunities himself.
