signed to liverpool for 25m (1.5m extra) luckily he is no longer a viable option for Barca. hated the rumors of him coming to nou camp

So he'll probably be a winger, or a second striker....I don't know if he chose the right club, to be honest...he'll have to work a lot harder defensively that he usually does, that's for sure. And I don't know if he's quick enough to be a winger, or creative enough to be a second striker. I think Liverpool paid too much for him.

Suarez has tons of talent but it will be interesting to see what role they want to use him in. It's a step up from most Liverpool forwards, but at that price he's going to have tons of pressure. If El Gimpo is traded/when he gets injured next it'll be interesting to see how Suarez adapts to being The Man in a better league.

He's just not strong enough to hold up the ball, so if Torres would leave, and Suarez would be the only striker in a 4-4-1-1 system, then he'd struggle for sure. He's a decent finisher, but he wouldn't be able to play as a striker for a team like Liverpool. Torres leaving would leave Liverpool with N'Gog as a striker, unless they sign another striker, of course...

Well I cannot see Suarez in the same role torres plays in our current system. He needs to play either with a partner, or to the right of the main forward.

I really wanted to see a Suarez-torres partnership in action :(

If/When torres leaves we definitely need another striker, someone with pace for Suarez to play off of. Someone like Aguero perhaps. We can afford his buy out clause with the torres money.

If you'd buy, say, Agüero to play in Torres' role, you'd a lot weaker, I think. With all those midfield runners (Kuyt, Meireles, Gerrard, etc.), I think it might be useful to have a striker who can hold the ball, and he has to be quick as well, so that you can play on the counter too. Torres would be so hard to replace...he has the pace, and enough strength too.

Pato's class...but you still wouldn't have a hold-up player....but he's lightning quick and an excellent finisher, so he'd do a good job for sure. He'd be quite expensive, though, so there wouldn't be much of a point in selling Torres just to spend the money you earned on Pato.
