No, we still are. But Suarez is one of the best players around, and it'd be understandable people would get excited at first. In the long run people would complain, if the back 4 showed problems.

Suarez will not go for over a 100m, liverpool fans are silly if they think that they will get that. Ronaldo and Bale went for that because they were WC players like Suarez however the amount of money they can make from them two due to marketing is absolutely phenomenal. Suarez is different, he is nowhere near as marketable and will not get the return for the clubs who are interested in buying them such as Barca and Real. He is on a different level to Bale as we all know but they paid that fee as they could recoup it within a few years or less due to shirt sales and etc, i just dont see Suarez being able to do that due to his previous history with Racism and biting. My two cents worth anyway.

If the rumors are true en we would buy Suarez, I would be thrilled!! I love how he gives everything to win, but really everything and as evreyone can see, he's just an awesome player.
but the only problem is how are we going to use him? At Liverpool he scored a lot of goals coming from the left flank (and there we already have Neymar, and Neymar isn't so good on the right side so I would always put him on the left). In the middle we have Messi, he has to stay there, no discussion there and on the right we have Alexis who had a good season, I would like to keep him, he's on of the best players on his position so why would we even consider selling him? So we could play Suarez as a Central Forward and King Messi just behind him but then Suarez would be restricted to his position and he has to be free on the field just as Neymar and Messi, then they are at there best! That's why I think that we would be better of with someone like Higuain, whos a real CF and linkes up well with Messi. As I said, I would love to welcome Suarez to the club, just because he's so goddam awesome but it would create a lot of difficulties because we would have 3 world class attackers that all need "tactical" freedom.

No one should doubt that Barca had one round of talks with Liverpool regarding Suarez. We have been also notified about their asking price. But Real Madrid Director of Football met Pere in Munich a month back. No formal agreement with any club at the moment. Was told player will give final word.

Oh, verry different in fact but every top team in the world needs expensive good forwards nowadays because you can't mentain competitive only with cantera and a few relatively cheap patches. rm has almost their entire team built on expensive transfers and full of mercs for a decade now. You really shouldn't compare.
