Bartra is meant to play as a defensive right-back.
Alba is not great defensively but definitely not shit.
Rakitic is not average, he's world class and he will prove it.

Yup Alba is so shitty that he kept Bale in his back pocket in the classico and came back to make super last ditch tackles to break up an attack last season. Rakitic is also not by any means average. Bartra maybe not be a full back but he is a good CB and can be a starter as he still has a good deal of time to improve

- Alba is a decent defender and will provide crucial width in that lineup/formation and join attacks.
- Rakitić is awesome and should start ahead of Xavi/Rafinha. His skill and ability to provide assists etc and his workrate, energy & willingness to track back, help defend etc will be vital to us.
- i honestly believe Bartra could be our new right sided Abidal.

Raktic proved nothing at the world cup, wasn't even a real starter at Schalke - let's wait and see, maye he's not average, but he's never world class.

- Rakitić was played out of position at the WC. bad coaching. also why judge him on his time at Schalke and not on how great he's been for the last 2 seasons with Sevilla in La Liga/Europa League?!
Man talk about living in 2010-11. He was under 23 at Schalke what do you expect, he became one of the main faces in Sevilla's squad after moving there and mind you this Sevilla won the Europa League. And as far as the WC goes he was played DM by Kovac for some absurd reason, its like playing Busi in place of Messi, what would you expect?
