I can't believe we're gonna buy this joker for so much money... this is beyond ridicilous, doesn't anyone else agree?
He will be 28 soon ( prime years I know, but a 22 year old costs alot more than a 28 year old )
He can't play soccer or train soccer or visit any football field for 4 months ( thats a lot of time!!! who knows how long till he gets back in prime form.. if ever)
He had incidents and even recently bit a guy in the world cup ( hence his price should be lower substantialy )

And it seems we are going to pay around 80-100kk € for him.... BEYOND RIDICILOUS

like i said, many deals fall apart at the last minute. if "sources" were to be believed, arsenal would have signed any number of players by now, including suarez last year. but i'll wait until something pops up on fcbarcelona.com before getting excited. i recommend everyone else does the same. for all you know, psg might come up with a 100m offer tomorrow and everything is up in flames.

it's because there are few players in the world that can truly compliment messi, and he is one of them. neymar and messi far too often occupy the same spaces on the field. xavi and iniesta also hunt in similar spots. barca really needs someone to occupy other, more forward spaces, and considering he is one of the best finishers in the game right now, that's why we are going for it. i actually don't mind this transfer as it makes sense. much more sense than signing neymar for as much money that we did, and also for signing zlatan which made less than zero sense. BUT we need to sign some defenders, or else this will mean nothing.

LOL these aren't just some rumours. We are being seriously and heavily linked to the guy for several days now. We wouldn't sell Alexis if it wasn't done.

Like I said, no one will be complaining about this transfer price if we manage to get 4-5 good years out of him. The fact that we are getting rid of Alexis is another issue however...

I'm sure we will win another CL with Suarez on this team. He's a madman, but his qualities are indisputable, he will bring our team to a new level.

I totally agree that we are paying more than we should. That's a lot of money for anyone, let alone a 27 year old with disciplinary issues.
BUT the market is totally fucked these days. Its ridiculous out there.
So overall im not too upset considering the quality of the player we are most likely going to sign. As stated before the only players that can be placed above him are Messi and CR. Some would even place him above CR. I wouldn't, but I guess it could be argued.
I also think that he will be worth it in the end and will play a huge part in getting us back on top.
Tell me you're not excited by our attacking line for next season .

Sorry...POSSIBLE attacking line next season . Happy Adil ? We definitely need some quality CB's though. That's imperative to our success next season.

Suarez is not soon 28 it is half a year away.

He has at least 4 peak years left and those years will coincide with the peak years of Messi and Iniesta.

Barca have to do all they can to make those years count and the Suarez fee and transfer make sense on footballing ability.

Well considering PSG sunk 60M euros on David Luiz. I'd say 70-100M Euros for Luis Suarez is a good deal.

The fact that we are getting rid of Alexis is another issue however...

We have to sell Alexis if we want Suarez, because there'll be no place for him in the team with Suarez in it. He's way too good to be on the bench.

The board has guaranteed that money will be spent to bring in whatever signings that Lucho Enrique wants (within reason of course).
