Bad move. Suarez is not a RW, and if we move Messi further back or to the right to accommodate Suarez, it's just retarded.

Suarez can provide the Villa role from the right or be the number nine with Messi behind him, then the right wing back provides width on that side.

But then who drops back at the right hand side when defending ? Messi ? I don't see that happening, moreover does Messi really need a number 9 in front of him ? The Ibra-case contradicts that.

How is it retarded? Messi's favourite position is behind the striker, he even prefers it to the false nine. Using Messi as a real nine is a waste.

In other news this is the 3rd* worst day in Metaphysical's football supporting life.

*No.1 and No.2 was when Barca beat his beloved Man Utd in the 2009 and 2011 CL finals.

Perhaps that is because of his off field issues who knows but all I can say is that I am not that gutted, not devastated or inconsolate at his departure. I'm not even disappointed. Sure I am a little gutted at his departure to Barca because he is the 3rd best player in the world and I wanted our first CL adventure for 5 years to be with him. But it was'nt meant to be.

same. for me i think its because we did pretty well without him for 10 games in 2013 and i want to shake off this 1-man team reputation we've wrongly got.

No.

Neymar - Messi - Suarez

with Messi dropping deeper, RB overlapping to become an RW as we usually do, and Suarez taking the CF position.

Let's trust Lucho

And how is it not a waste to take the best goalscorer of all time and move him further away from the goal and behind a primary striker? The only logical thing to do is keep Messi as false 9 and use Suarez on the right, with him cutting inside, but I don't think Suarez can handle the responsibility that comes with that role.
