Too much firepower, no effort in defense. That might look good on paper, judging by the names of the players, but in reality it could easily result in embarrassing losses.

Barcelona pay Liverpool 81M for the transfer of Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez (27). His release clause was around 100M. [as md sport]

Yeah, I really like that lineup too. Though I think this could also work:

Mats
Alves-Pique-CB-Alba
Busquets-Masch
Iniesta-Messi-Neymar
------Suarez--------

With the 3 behind Suarez all roaming.

The idea of iniesta messi and neymar all roaming and having a free role is so irresistible.
but busi and masch at once?

That lineup can work, it just needs solidity in the back 4. You forget Barca once played the Henry-Eto'o-Messi/Iniesta-Yaya-Xavi formation. This front 6 is more defensive even, Rakitic and Busi are defensive upgrades.

The key is in the back 4. Solidity back there needs to be achieved. The front 6 is fine and can be played and altered depending on circumstances.

im seeing this

for some reason i feel like one of the main changes for next year would be switching to 2 Defense minded Midfielders instead of counting only on Busquets while using Xavi and Iniesta mainly for attack like we used to.

signing Rakitic actually shows that maybe this is Luis Enrique's idea.. as Rakitic is really useful both for behind and up-front.

i dont see Messi getting stuck on the wing like 4-5 years ago
but rather having a free role in the center while operating naturally more on the right side and cutting inside. like he always do now anyways.
i can only guess Messi/Iniesta/Neymar and even Suarez would swap places a lot. as they are all capable of mastering at least 2-3 spots up-front

having both Masch and Busq would help our fragile defending. probably Masch would be used more as our Anchor and Busqu more of our Xavi-style play maker.

but oh well
we'll have to wait and see.

I'm happy for this transfer but they bought him just to hide their incompetence and mistakes.

I'm not so sure double pivot would work for us. Busi and Mascherano should split the minutes IMO.

Masche could also be subbed in to seal a result if necessary.

Messi plays behind Higauin for Argentina and still scores a goal a game. The team will be better in big games with Messi NOT playing that false 9 position. He should (and will) play behind Suarez in the centre or on the right. It will not have a massive effect on his goalscoring rate and even if it did I don't care. We should expect 100+ goals between Messi, Suarez and Neymar.....doesn't matter if its spread evenly or if one of them gets 60.

He will not be presented to the fans at the Nou Camp because of his ban, instead he will be unveiled at "Auditorium 1899" which is the conference room. Either way welcome Luis 'LEGEND' Suarez!
