He's banned from 8 official games, and any friendlies during this time. So yes, he's out of copa america.

I wouldn't say so. There are atleast two intl breaks during a season. So he'll miss about 4-5 friendlies with URU given there are no qualifiers this time. He'll be available for the CA K.Os if they get there.

They don't count those friendlies as official games.

I think it's a fair decision because the training ban was ridiculous. The four month ban in essence only amounts to a ban of 10-12 games for a third time offence. He got a a 10 match ban for his second biting offence so really this is just an almost identical punishment club-wise.

I predict he will be subbed in during the Clasico if Barca are struggling to make any headway.

I kind of agree... But I'm more for rehabilitation than punishment. They could have let him play, but forced him to wear a mouth guard, and take therapy sessions for a year, or something like that.
