I just couldn’t wait to get started”, Suárez stressed.
The signing of new Barça striker was completed a few weeks ago, but the player still had not been able to train with the team. Suárez described this situation as "really tough…it was a situation that made me feel really uncomfortable. I'm paying for a mistake I made and one I have apologised for, but I have to forget about all this". Following on, the new Barça number 9 said: "
I am only thinking about the future, which is at FC Barcelona, the Club who I dreamed of playing for".
The player will be presented to his new fans on Monday on the occasion of the presentation of the first team before the
Joan Gamper Trophy. Regarding Monday,
Luis Suárez can’t wait. "Now I’ll just have to wait to play again, make contact with the fans, and feel the sensation of playing in a stadium like the Camp Nou
”.
Finally, the Uruguayan striker wanted to thank Barça for the support he has had since the announcement of his signing. "I am very grateful to the Club for all it has done for me over these last few weeks and days. They have been great with me and I appreciate it because
I am realizing my dream, to play for Barça"
"I'm paying for a mistake I made and one I have apologised for, but I have to forget about all this" - I'm not sure if this is the right mentality, Luiseato... You need to work in order for that to never happen again. Forgetting about it won't help.
