On a side note......

Ferguson on Ronaldo a few years back:
"I do know is that Cristiano Ronaldo must be one of the most fouled players in the league. "The fouls are frustrating, especially for Ronaldo, and I have nothing but admiration for the way he picks himself up and keeps running at people. "Time after time he is tackled unfairly and often opponents try to indicate that he has dived. "Of course, when Ronaldo is running at full speed sometimes it doesn't take much to knock him over but the truth is that too many opponents don't know how to tackle properly. And to disguise their shortcomings they accuse him of falling deliberately. "I am pleased for him with the punishment he has taken lately. I have been making the point about his courage and the fact he is clearly determined that he is not to be kicked out of the game." Ferguson added: "I will continue to hammer away at the need for protection for football's most skilful players."

You could replace the word ronaldo with Suarez and it would be spot on.

All while maintaining our opinion regarding that quoted, pure bullshit.

It's called defending his players? Something he's brilliant at. He was hardly going to come out and call Ronaldo a diver was he?

Nope, which is what I love about him and Mourinho.

I like Rios, purely because all he can do is just foul people. it's like, the only reason he's in the team. and that sort of concept is so fucking old-school I really find myself admiring it (as much as Rios pisses me off during a game because of the fouling).

So you understand my love for the Uruguayan NT. It's like growing a mustache not for Movember, to be ironic and not because you are a cop, as in trying to look like Burt Reynolds and pulling it off.

I maintain that a front three of Asexis-Leo-Suarez would destroy any defence in any world, or any extra-dimensional world.

Nolan would die of repeated pants jizzing. Yusuf too. I would just sit in a chair with a really high back in my Xavi jersey and cackle delightfully with a glass of scotch in one hand.

I don't think I'd last a day before I'd literally jizz myself to death.

No one would comfort me more than Roberto Carlos in times of desperation. He confidently got on the mic and told everyone that we will be top of the league next week when we were 9 points behind. And everyone believed him.

of course I understand it, man, I've always understood it.

I don't agree, but shit, that's life.

Very good player. He made mistake when leaves Ajax in last January. He should stay till the summer. After CA he will get move to the club where he will be competing for trophies (LFC isn't that club, sorry AnfieldEd). Now he must waste his time being surrounded by Henderson, Caroll, Downing and the rest of this mediocrity. LFC won't make Top 4 this season, so I wouldn't be surprised if in the summer of 2012 there will be some rumours about Suarez leaving Liverpool. He will probably stay, but if in 2012-13 LFC again doesn't make Top 4, then he will be gone.

"The FA will have to clarify things with [Evra]," Suarez said. "There is no evidence I said anything racist to him. I said nothing of the sort. There were two parts of the discussion, one in Spanish, one in English. I did not insult him. It was just a way of expressing myself. I called him something his team-mates at Manchester call him, and even they were surprised by his reaction.

"These things happen in football, in the heat of the moment. They leave someone looking bad. Now we have to see how the matter is decided and then, for him as much as me, we will have things clear. And wherever the fault lies, we are going to have to say sorry."

so, basically, Suarez called him something racist and is now trying to contextualise the offensiveness out of it.

sorry, cunt, it doesn't work that way. "friendly use" of racial epithets can only be done by friends. if a stranger (or opponent, in this case) uses one of those words, the original hostile intent is front & centre. there's no established rapport where you know they're being affectionate. you just hear that word.

at a guess he probably said something like "calm down, negro" in Spanish.

what a cunt.

If we don't make the top 4 this season or next season then I wouldn't blame him for leaving.
