Another point of having a trident/front-three is the fact they are all still human beings; we cannot expect all three to be firing on all cylinders, or in high gear every game.
Suarez had a bit of an off day today, his touches were sometimes poor--that's when we needed a bit of magic from Messi and Neymar, which we got.
Even two of these three in full beast mode is enough to overcome some of the toughest opponents, IMO. And I'd rather have Suarez slightly off the mark than either Neymar or Messi, because of his position and his sheer physicality: even without beast mode, he still draws defenders, makes runs, occupies space, and provides an attacking pivot as a back-to-goal striker/target man.
Neymar, for example, do not provide these elements when he is having an off day. Neymar's off day involves losing the ball and failing dribbles and disrupting the attacking rhythm. Messi's off day is typically just bad news all around.
