The good news is this; Last year Suarez had missed sitters against sevillia 3 days before CL game vs PSG...So im convinced he will be at his best against arsenal
yes disgusting fininishing BUT i want to give him a credit because of the MSN is the one and only to work his ass like a mad men in no ball - possession: pressing, run etc... messi and neymar otherwise have been zombies today. Suarez plays always with great effort and that it's the most important thing.
Holy crap if Ney had this display this forum would melt.
Can't critique the MSN for missing because they can't score every damn chance. Still Luis scored early and created the winner despite his 3 sitters missed no big deal. Bigger fish to fry now in CL.
I guess this proves once and for all that Suarez was a major upgrade over Sanchez though many didn't thought that at the time of the transfers and some refuse to accept it even now.
Alexis was frustrating at times and didn't play well against tight defenses/parked buses. He improved a lot in his last season and I'll always remember his stunner against Atletico on the last game of La Liga (shame we were robbed the title that day). He is a great player and didn't by any stretch fail here, but he didn't improve the team, Suarez has taken us to another level, obviously the whole team has improved too but Suarez definitely gives us that edge and spirit that we needed, never stops running, and most importantly never stops scoring
First, I like Alexis and wasn't happy at the time we sell him but I understand why we did that. That said, I think Suarez is a better player and fits this system better than Alexis would. But I don't think it's fair to compare his goals to Alexis. Suarez is a CF and Alexis is a RW so it's understandable that Suarez score more. If anything we should compare Suarez's goals to Messi's when Alexis was here. But this doesn't make sense because we don't play the same system now and because well, Messi is Messi. You can't really compare anyone to him.
