Somehow, I don't feel that Lewandowski replacement will cure the current shortcomings of not being able to convert chances, if these are the shortcomings we complain about.
Lewandowski might leave but don't be suprised that anew striker will live up to common expectations of changing things as with a magic wand.
This club, if I remember correctly, never depended on strikers alone, in its best victory and glory days, so why, all of a sudden, Lewandowski has become that missing chain link for the success?
BTW. It ain't over yet. The upcoming weeks and months will reveal if Flick is to be remembered as a genius or a flop. If the former, Lewandowski will have a huge part in it.

You can search my Lewa posts I'm not hating on him ever. He is simply getting too old. Somebody has to play striker. I've also said multiple places that Gyokeres may not even be that good but he is the logical choice with how much he will cost.

This is so….badly true. Instead of him I will rather give minutes to Pau Victor or even bring a striker from 2nd team. It would be way more useful for us in a long run. I do not know why a pro coach cannot see that….Just unbelievable.

'Play for Lewa' is effetively giving aspects of the team and approach to cover his short comings.
Juventus, Man Utd, Portugal and that Saudi team have been doing it for years for Ronaldo and he last won anything of note almost 5 years ago.
But hey he scores as team plays for him..they just win fuck all of any relevance.
Much better to try an play believe is best and hope Lewa can still score important goals than give up aspects of way want to play for him to get goals more easily.
