his age shows... he's more on the ground than he stands up, slow af and doesn't press, can't even control the simplest of balls etc. Next season will be a fucking travesty, we'll pay 30M for somebody that won't fucking move anymore
From all the whining on this forum when I finally watched a Barca match since long time I thought he would be awful.
He didnt have a good game, but cant really see what you are describing in this match. Did you watch it or just took a glance or two between beers? He had two chances and took a shot. First missed the other was blocked.
Others are saying he killed attacks, what attacks? He didnt receive any passes in the middle of the pitch so he couldnt kill the attacks if there werent any through him. He kept running and didnt receive any through balls. Same as Yamal and Raphinha. Noone passed to any of the three attackers. During second half I could see Yamal being pissed because he kept sprinting into holes and noone passed him. Raphinha stopped running because it looked like noone was ever unlock him with a through ball. Actually its was Lewandowski who tried in the first half to do a through ball to Raphinha and it almost worked.
As for pressing? He doesnt sprint like a chicken to the defense or GK but he stands/walks where he is supposed to be. When Ferran entered the pitch he kept doubling Raphinhas space on pressing leaving a huge hole in the middle which kept being exploited by Rayo. He looked like a headless chicken.
Sure Lewandowski is past it and he should retire soon, but the amount of armchair nonsense analysis here is funny. Do you even use your eyes when you watch these matches? WTF lol
I would say the only well playing players were Pedri and Tek. Cant speak for Yamal because he was ignored by these so called amazing attacks which suposedly Lewandowski killed. Lmao and you wonder why you dont understand Flicks decisions, maybe because you know shit about how shit works
