Isn't as clear as the first picture, but half a second later, there was more space and definitely a must pass to Lewandowski as well. There are thousand examples, how you pass with a curved trajectory so the defender can't intercept, but your teammate behind him reaches it.

The first one should have been a pass 10 out of 10 times. If you are selfish and don't pass there, you'd better be sure you score. Otherwise, it's just dumb. I don't know what happened to them, but they were arguing a lot with each other in this game.
