I'm not going to say Benzema was better, but Benzema did more on and off the ball even when he didn't score. He was an elite outlet + could actually press for 90 minutes game after game.

Lewandowski cannot do that anymore. He's physically incapable of it, and that's an issue when he doesn't score or finish his chances. Seems like he need to be rested regularly to have the kind of impact he can have.

Been a trend since he joined us where he starts the season on fire and then his play dips considerably around this time of the year with the grueling schedule at the start of the season. Then bounces back a bit after the winter break.

He needs to be replaced next season. The question is who with. Our financial struggles are really affecting us on the pitch.
I like Strand Larsen from Wolves. His price is 25 million which isn't high but I'm not sure we can afford it.

No, he doesn't get the most hate. Look up FDJ, Fermin, Kounde, Martin, even Pedri threads and you'll see.

Flick's system is dependent on its striker to a great degree. It's why Lewandowski is among the best paid players in the league.

There is no bias really. Everybody appreciates his goals but if you do take out the statistics and actually look at his performances, it will be evident that his contributions other than the goals are all mostly underwhelming.

Lewandowski deserves criticism and he should be replaced. His stats are fantastic but I don't think it's something other, younger strikers would not be able to reproduce - along with bringing something else along with the goals.

With due respect to Lewa of course.
