9 - Robert Lewandowski

Totally disagree - Messi has a far higher football IQ than C Ronaldo and is miles better in so many facets of the game, lol. Ronaldo can't shine his shoes more like. Ronaldo - while an excellent player - is vastly overrated due to his goal stats.

Weird take to say Messi can't shine Ronaldo's shoes - he's clearly the miles more gifted footballer.

They both seem dumb off the park, though.

Could we say that boths football IQ is wired differently though. Messi's is wired to work with the ball because of his god given talent while Ronaldo's is wired to take accuracy of space.

The split second of Messi in position to know where to play the ball or shoot, jink and dribble are unmatchable, but Ronaldo could read to an incredible degree where to be, move and connect for scoring.

True, not saying Ronaldo lacks IQ, just that Messi has a bit more. In saying that Messi is good at finding space too.

The rest of the stuff stands though.

Anyway don't wanna turn it into M v R, it's not the thread for that. I just find it a wild take that there's anyone out there who thinks Messi can't lace Ronaldo's boots as a footballer. It's like saying Charles Dickens cannot lace JK Rowling's boots as a writer. Absolutely mental take and shows how overrated C Ronaldo truly is by some. He should never ever be compared to messi as he simply isn't on his level at all.

That's enough of that debate in the wrong thread.

Ran him into the ground.

But as much as he missed that 1 half decent chance yesterday, which is equally a good save.

He was one of the better players, subbing him was a mistake.

Should have been subbing him in games we were 3-0 up with 30 minutes left lol

No one reads the trajectory of a cross better than CR7.

Why would you sub him off when you need goals?

He's the best solution in world Football when you need a goal.

Leganes parked the bus and were brilliant defensively and yet he finds a way to get into dangerous positions and maneuvers shooting scenarios out of nothing. Only people who have no clue about the game think this is easy to do. Erling Haaland is a phenomenal goalscorer but even he can't do shit against parked buses like yesterday. RL9 does that even in his worst days.

There have been many occasions where RL9 wasn't finishing well but ultimately ended up scoring and winning the game for his team. His presence alone creates a huge amount of space for his teammates. No defender takes Ferran seriously.

Ronaldo can't shine his shoes more like. Ronaldo - while an excellent player - is less talented than many in history and vastly overrated due to his goal stats. He's not a special talent relative to the best players ever.

He is not a role model for those kids who want to work with brain when they grow up, to put it mildly, while Ronaldo is intelligent and eloquent plus handsome...he has the class.
I read somewhere that Messi was one bitch on the pitch and behaved like he owned the World, threw primitive insults at the opposing team players, simply, an instance of a simpleton.
I cant recall one time he would say something interesting about life in general, just bubbling.
So his shirt would be the last thing I'd buy any kid as a Christmas present.

Ronaldo is an alleged rapist. How is Ronaldo intelligent? He comes across as a thick, deluded maggot to me who has no education and doesn't know when to quit playing football. Eloquent? He can hardly even form a coherent sentence.

I totally disagree that he is handsome - he's very weird looking and plastic and I have spoken to women offline and online who say they find him repulsive. He's clearly a lot more of an acquired taste than someone like Henry Cavill or Brad Pitt, who are liked by many more women than Ronaldo is and far better looking than him. |There's loads of better looking footballers than Ronaldo - you are just taken in by his fame. His teeth look fake, his skin is bad, his jaw looks recessed, he has psycho looking eyes, and in general he has a look of a chimpunk or rat. I don't wanna debate with you here but if he wasn't famous he'd be considered far less attractive than he is by some, and even now, many women find him repulsive.

I don't think I have ever heard anyone claim Ronaldo is intelligent before. The guy has literally no depth as a person beyond shallow superficial stuff and football. Messi isn't intelligent off the park either, but Ronaldo intelligent?

:ROFLMAO:

Yes, Messi acted like a dick sometimes. But criticising someone for acting like a dick while talking up C RONALDO of all people is insane. The guy is an alleged rapist as I say, knocks phones out of kids' hands, and just generally comes across as a totally horrible person.

Anyway none of this has anything to do with how good they are at football.

Ronaldo has been involved in spats with loads of players lol. You are praising him for the same stuff you're insulting Messi for.

Messi is a charisma black hole but looks are irrelevant for role models.

Agree that Ronaldo is far more eloquent and intelligent off the pitch but he does have some controversies too.

Another thing is his narcissism which can be harmful for kids who have achieved nothing. Ronaldo can talk big because he's one of the most successful men on the planet but it's not the right example for young kids.

Other than that, I agree with your basic idea.

In fact that is how you know Ronaldo isn't genuinely good looking - he can be argued to be the most famous person in the world, has money and status coming out of his ears - yet STILL many women are resistant to him.

A genuinely handsome man at his otherwordly levels of money and fame would be considered universally attractive - and he is far from it as loads of women think he's an ugly cunt.

I think subbing him off wasn't a flick decision, his assistant fucked up on that one, didn't read the game well at all.

Eloquent? His English is awful. Maybe he's eloquent in Portuguese but he can't even speak his English is so broken.

Maybe Messi is smart and just doesn't go out of his way to be outspoken? I doubt it but just because Ronaldo has a big mouth it doesn't mean he's 'intelligent and eloquent'. The guy comes across as an imbecile to me.

Ronaldo's intelligence, personality, charisma and looks can be up for debate but there's zero doubt that he smokes Messi in these categories easily.

But Messi is more well behaved and humble in the public domain. I will give you that. That sets a good example for kids unlike CR7. Credit where it's due. I don't mind praising Messi and criticising Ronaldo when they deserve it.
