Eloquent? His English is awful. Maybe he's eloquent in Portuguese but he can't even speak his English is so broken.

Maybe Messi is smart and just doesn't go out of his way to be outspoken? I doubt it but just because Ronaldo has a big mouth it doesn't mean he's 'intelligent and eloquent'. The guy comes across as an imbecile to me.

I don't think he's intelligent and eloquent either but he's more so than Messi off the pitch. Is that even a debate?

I have actually heard some women say Messi is more handsome than C Ronaldo. I can see why too. If you put Ronaldo's face on messi's body and height and vice-versa I think it's a lot closer than you think. Messi has some nice photos, with the right hair and beard.

Either way, C Ronaldo just isn't handsome, like at all. Many women will agree with me and you know it. The guy looks like a rodent and TOTALLY fails the buzzcut test. Without money and fame he's not popular with women for me.

Yeah, seems like the sort of thing that Ronaldo's PR team has convinced people of. I made that point too - Messi isn't less intelligent just because he doesn't embarrass himself with deluded opinions like Ronaldo does.

But the point is Messi isn't a vapid attention seeker like Ronaldo. He isn't so insecure he feels the need to give constant interviews about everything in football.

Hence, we don't know if Messi is more intelligent or eloquent.

I think some of the time you confuse being outspoken or opinionated with charisma. They are far from the same thing.

He's probably autistic or on the spectrum. That doesn't make him less intelligent than Ronaldo, though.

Bad social skills and weird behaviour don't make one person less intelligent than another. In fact, you can argue that high sense of inhibition is overanalysing surroundings and being very tuned in to what others think. That doesn't mean Messi is smart, but some people with 'zero social skills and weird behaviour' probably act that way BECAUSE they are smart and constantly overanalysing. You are trying to claim it makes them less intelligent when actually you can argue the opposite.

It can also be lack of confidence, which is nothing to do with intellect.

Ronaldo on the other hand thinks in a very shallow manner and just says whatever comes into his empty head.

Messi inspires kids in his own way: with his game and humble behaviour.


While Ronaldo inspires people with his goals, passion and interviews.


Messi is great at his actual job so it doesn't matter that he's not good in the media.

Reading his post, TempFan is incredibly anti-Messi while ignoring flaws of CR7 so no need to discuss with the likes of him.

Yeah I thought TemporaryFan was talking about them as footballers. This has gone well off topic now anyway.

Ronaldo really should be in jail though. I am fairly convinced he's a rapist but got away with it due to his money and power. He's a scumbag of a person and should be inspiring nobody. Nobody should look up to someone with his extensive list of character flaws.

That is what I said. It it seen as a virtue in this society to be opinionated and arrogant and not take other views into account, and Ronaldo does all that. It doesn't make him smarter or more charismatic though, as we said. In fact it probably highlights his vast insecurity as he's always attacking someone, whether it is Ten Hag, Messi, or whoever.

Are we seriously arguing that someone who sees being dropped or light criticism as 'disrespect' is charismatic?
