Nobody dragged MSN down, they won the treble and dominated league. Could have achieved much more but in theory, that's mostly their responsibility as you say but Enrique proved in 14/15 that coach can play a role too. So little doubts that Flick would keep them disciplined.

We can only talk theory, not long ago people were shitting on Flick. There are mamy variables on football as you have 20 outfield players on pitch so its hard to think about any "what if"...

Yeah, I believe he said he wants to play until 38 and he'll reach it next summer. Could be a good farewell, if our team keeps improving and we get a promising second striker, a double or even treble is very much possible next season. I can even imagine him staying in Barcelona after his career and keep working for Barca.
His family loves the life in the city. Wouldn't be too bad to have his professionalism in the staff/La-Masia.

Not nearly the same level of competition.
The top leagues have become more balanced and competitive.

So no, these are just baseless hypotheticals.

The days of Neymar spaghetti noodles are over. Which is why we just don't see it anymore.

It's more about efficiency now, which is what Messi excelled at so he would dominate any time period, minus when AI players takes over. However, the stats would just not be the same.

If you want to play with hypotheticals though, I'd argue for the reason of efficiency, that Messi and Lewandowski would make a far more lethal combination than Messi and Neymar or Messi and Suarez.

In 14-15, you had:

Prime RM
Prime AM (between their CL finals appearances)
Best version of Juventus in modern era (they beat RM in CL semis)
Pep's Bayern
Man City and PSG
Sevilla winning Europa for fun

It was one of the most competitive eras of football :lol:

No.

Literally every single possible thing from tactics to physical fitness, overall quality and intensity has increased in the past decade.

This is an AVERAGE across all of the top leagues and teams, not just to a few top teams.

The competition level increase can be gauged more at the mid-table level.
