Same story as every summer  But right now it's simply absurd, there is just absolutely no way Bayern would randomly sell their by far most important player after the season has already started.

Once he leaves Bundesliga will be back to normal I believe, because I'm 90% sure Haaland's only leaving for either Madrid or the Premier League.

With PSG's oil money? I expect them to throw a couple of hundred million in the direction of Haaland and Raiola through various forms, courtesy of QSI. Imo, the way football is today, the historic clubs are losing ground to state-backed oil clubs or sugar daddy clubs, since UEFA are happy to do nothing.

Shame we can't make a move for him. He's got at least 3 good seasons in him.

Just wondering if our situation would be better so we could keep Messi, bring a good CB and DM and have a very competitive team, how much would you be willing to pay for Lewa at his age?

Even if he did leave, Bayern wouldnt be in any kind of trouble. The way their team is structured, the way they have so many feeders (Muller, Sane, Gnabry, Kimmich, etc..) they dont need any kind of super number 9 to score a shit-load of goals. Remember that Mario Gomez in 2011-12 scored like over 40 goals a season. Their team structure hasnt changed that much since those days. With someone like Werner (that is if he finds his scoring boots again), or someone young up-and-coming they are easily still one of the top dogs in the yard. At this point 100 million for Lewy would be good business for them. Lewandowski, as good as he is, is still a classic 9, nothing less but nothing that much more either. He is not a game-changer by himself. Cannot compare to say, Suarez in 2011-16.

Perez is right and he sees this. Barca and Real can't keep things the same and believe things will be alright.

That's rather naive. And they don't have Ribery and Robben anymore, who can basically carry any #9 (Gomez, Mandzukic). Gnabry, Sane and Coman is a massive downgrade.

Are Bayern floating the possibility of Lewandowski leaving for 100m? It would set them up for Haaland.

I think having Lewa scoring 40+ goals/season for the next 2-3 years is worth more to Bayern than having 100m in the bank they don't have anyone capable of replacing him to spend that money on. They don't need money, they want titles, mostly CL and Lewa gives them better chances for that.

People are mentioning Haaland as his replacement which is understandable given history of Bayern usually signing the best players of their league rivals. But I don't expect Bayern seriously going after him. Sure, they could pay his transfer fee without problems but don't see them paying wages he'll demand. According to this report https://www.marca.com/en/football/bundesliga/2021/07/21/60f8659522601d4b4f8b4568.html Lewa is on 20m gross, there is no way they'd pay double that to Haaland (not to mention high sign on fee and commision to Raiola). This would just break their entire wage structure.

They can keep Lewa until his contract expires and in the meantime look for his longterm successor. He might not be totally happy to stay but in the end I think they all know he's a hardworking professional who will still give his best and score crazy amount of goals and that's all they care about.

Lewa is a bit troubled in the head if he wants to leave Bayern at 34, and would doubt it's not purely money-driven. It must piss him off how lesser players probably earn more than him. Maybe he's hoping for a nice piece of that oil-dollar double-crust pie PSG is serving to superstars left or right.
