Can we or any of the big teams today walk the "shitty" Bundesliga with so much ease? I don't think so.

Bayern have won 9 league titles in a row.

Bundesliga teams apart from Bayern tend to struggle heavily in Europe.

Barca, Real Madrid, Chelsea, whatever, would also win 9 league titles in a row in Germany because they just like Bayern would be 5-10x stronger financially and incredibly attractive for the top German talent.

I'm not saying that the Bundesliga is a shit league, but Bayern's dominance on the pitch and on the financial side is unprecedented in a European league.

That fact alone diminishes the value of a BuLi title in the eyes of many of the voters I guess, just like it is with a Ligue 1 title.

Neymar and Mbappe never came close to a BdO despite winning a domestic triple or double and scoring loads of goals.

For players in Germany and France it's either CL or bust, or an international title or bust when it comes to such an individual award.

No dispute on Bayern's towering status and dominance in Bundesliga, and I agree that winning the Buli every year is not enough for Lewandowski or any Bayern player to get special acclaims.

However, I am not even talking about Lewandowski or Bayern here, I am talking about how some people here belittle Bundesliga as if the quality of the teams was so bad that if we were there, we would have won it so easily in a fashion like Bayern did. Our record against the German teams has not been that lopsided, if I am not mistaken. Just saying, while Bayern wins that league easily every year, it doesn't make the league a shitty league.

Yeah, it is not a shitty league, but it's a pretty interesting league tactically. A lot of the teams there play what some would say is naively, while others would term it as brave.

A lot of open flow, end-to-end stuff. Unlike Spain or Italy where half the teams would try to play for a draw and park the bus or play really cynically.

German football culture is different which I admire because it's really fun to watch and their fans are probably the best out of the top european leagues.

But that also puts a lot of question marks on how tough it is to win there. Now obviously this shitty version of Barca would struggle some there too, but I doubt our 2018 team would have any issues dispatching teams who leave a lot of space behind.

Bayern have the squad and financial dominance that guarantees them winning another 9 years in a row. This dominance leads to low popularity abroad, nobody but Bayern or Dortmund fans in Bulgaria follow this league, it's that predictable. A friend of mine, who is a big Bayern/Roma/Valencia (strange, eh?) fan doesn't even follow lately Bayern matches in the Bundesliga.

Also historic rivals like Hamburger SV, Schalke 04, Werder Bremen are currently sitting midtable in 2. Bundesliga, struggling for promotion.

Lewa's only chance of winning Ballon d'Or is winning/dominating the CL or reaching post 1/4 final stages of Euro or Wold Cup with Poland NT. That's the recipe for players from weaker football nations.

I don't know if it is a tactical thing or a cultural thing or a philosophical thing over there, for me Bundesliga is the most entertaining league to watch, better than La Liga, the EPL and other leagues (granted that I don't watch Serie A or Ligue 1 at all).

Today certainly not, but even several years ago we only beat Gladbach in our home game rather comfortably, the away game was well contested and we barely won, if I remember correctly. In my rusty memory, we only roused Leverkusen and that was in our heyday.

If we were playing there instead of Bayern I think we win the league in every season between 2005 and 2021 IMO. Non of those years there was a non-Bayern year that were better than Barca
Obviously it is very hypothetical, since if we were playing there we would never had same exact team we have atm

Last loss to non Bayern German team was in 25.09.2001, seems lopsided to me

We probably would, but not sure if we would with the kind of ease Bayern did, but that is a different story.

Some people say Bundesliga is shitty simply because Bayern wins it every year, but I could also say, if Bayern had been parachuted to La Liga or the EPL or another major European league, they probably would win it too.

Spanish Teams dominated European Football for a decade.

That's all I'm going to say.

When is the last time Bayern had some actual competition in Germany that also did well in Europe? Klopp's Dortmund where they actually lost two league titles to them?

They would win less titles than what they have now.
At the end it is hypothetical question, and the fact remains that no team is near Bayern. Even Ligue 1 had 2 different winners than PSG in same time span, and PSG is the financially dominant there.
Football and sport is about rivalry and competition and if you lack it you will not be ranked high, fairly or not.
The difference between a one horse race and 2 horse race is just huge

No disagreement on Bayern's dominance in that league at all. I am usually the guy who complains about the lack of competition and suspense in Bundesliga.

Again, what I am trying to get at is, yes, Bayern is all too dominant there and other teams can't match their power and prowess but that fact itself doesn't make that league a shitty league as many on this forum tend to believe.

And for inistaGOAT who doesn't even watch it to claim it is a shitty league, it is like a frog in a well who knows nothing other than that little piece of sky directly above its head that it sees.

As I said it makes them shitty league due to lack of competition.
Whether it is fair or not is very subjective anyway

I would never say that Bundesliga being "shitty league". Yes, it's boring to watch in recent years, because the odds of Bayern winning the title are probably 1.01. What I forgot to mention in my previous post was, although Bayern dominance, German Bundesliga currently produces one of the best coaches in the world, Spain are second in this ranking.

Then we have different understanding or definition of what a "shitty league" means or is. To me, a shitty league would be a league of extremely low or poor quality (like the Chinese CSL, haha), not a league without competition like the Buli.

Well, again different understanding of the word. To me lopsided means one side trumps the other with a lopsided strength or advantage etc., not just winning or not losing. But yeah, it is natural that people see things differently.

Shitty or not, let's hope we can beat Bundesliga teams in the EL.
