Lewy's growing old too

The next generation is failing us.

Where are the 27 year olds who should be dominating today?

Why are the best players in the world either 34 years old like Messi and Lewandowski or 21 like Mbappe and Haaland?

Ronaldo is such a beast in the UCL. Respect.

No player other than the 2 GOATs have more knockout goals than RL9.

Sits perfectly with how he's rated. I never said he's Messi or Ronaldo. Messi Ronaldo were top players when they were 21 already. If he plays like this for 2 or 3 more years he'll be up there imo. Atleast in some ways. RL9 is a late bloomer.

Unfortunately for Lewandowski, nothing was handed to him on a plate. He fought his way up the ranks. That delayed his entrance into top level Football.

First season under Klopp he used to play winger, second striker, AM and striker. He has come a long way. His journey is what inspires me.

BTW Lewandowski just reached 600 career goals. The 14th player to do so I hear!!

Hope he can further create a bigger legacy these next few years. According to him and his wife, his test results show something like he can play for mamy more years at his peak. They're fitness freaks with crazy diets and stuff so who knows.

Wish he had a good national team. So unlucky.

Winning a trophy with your nt really helps.

Also helps with media bias and hype if you are from Brazil, England, France, etc. Lewandowski had to earn every bit of his hype through pure hardwork. No media crap or help

Both have great luck with injuries. Actually even Messi has a great injury record overall.

On the other hand, you have guys like Haaland who have massive red flags already regarding injuries.

You can tell he has already declined.

He used to be so technical with his feet. Excellent first touch and all. Today's Lewandowski is not the same one as two years ago. Actually in 2018 I thought he was crazy good but he wasn't getting the hype then. He's getting the hype now but he's not as good as he used to be.

Before 2019 he had a pretty bad record against big teams in cl, hadnt he?

I think that's majorly fueled by one really really bad tie against Madrid in 2018. He was genuinely awful there. Still comfortably more clutch goals than anyone bar Messi Ronaldo.

While Pep was at Bayern, they used to get spanked every year in the UCL, largely due to Pep treating Football as rocket science and messing up the tactics. Bayern should have won another UCL although I remember the referee screwing them once against Madrid if I am not wrong.

In defense of Pep, he came up against 2 great sides in RM 13/14 and Barca 14/15, he should have made the final in his last season at the club, but Saul turned into prime Messi so what can you do.

Atleti 15/16 was also a great side. No shame in losing to them, if they had VAR then, they would have been CL winners.

God, they were such an annoying team to play against!

Incredibly well drilled and jammy.

People diss Mourinho but I'd much rather watch a Mourinho team than a Simeone team. Proper anti-football.

Atletico were outplayed by Bayern over the two legs though, and were it not for that freak-goal by Saul, they would have gone to the final.

ya especially at home bayern should have won 4-1 against them but lost because of a great counter goal from antoine griezmann (assist: Fernando Torres)
