Lol that's not gonna happen.

Temp should focus on Liverpool wasting their best generation of talent in 30 years & not Barcelona, we'll go 3/4 years without winning but we'll be back.

Unless we go bankrupt lol

Bayern rubbing their hands getting a 30 year old Mane for 30m while selling a 34 year old Lewandowski to us for 60m

Who cares if we get arguably the best goal scorer in world football for the next few years !!!

Just a pity we let Madrid get Rudiger who would have been perfect for us

I'm interested in Lewandowski's future not Barcelona's. Unfortunately both the paths seem like they'll be coinciding soon...

Seems he's pushing to leave, but Bayern is stubborn, they will probably force him to play out his contact.

If the great joan Laporta can pull this & a couple of key signings off to have us compete for la liga next season, oh boy.

Trying too hard

Give Laporta more credit and stop moaning about how much he wasted on Torres eh.

Based on this forum lately, I get the feeling that some folk accidentally had their prime years of watching football during Ronaldinho's Barcelona when Madrid were shit. You probably have a lot of folks around here being 12-18 years old back in 2005 or so. Or later, during Pep era.

Exactly, i feel the same way

Too many here became Barcelona fans at the best of times.

It's gonna be the same way for Madrid in a 8-10 years

That's what I'm getting, because clearly Barca are a highly pretentious club that just don't adapt to the times, and instead chase their own model, with mixed results until they get everything right and just clean the house.

They're just not a sound club to support if you want consistency above all. Go Bayern or the ubiquitous Madrid if you're after constant results. Bayern and Madrid will be like 80% up there fighting for the titles, and 10-15% mediocre or worse, while Barca would be more like 60-40.

That has happened once in Barcas history.

Not quite the cycle that gets repeated and Barca wont be back as a big team until get basics back in team.

World of football has moved on and Barca havent.

Barca can keep using their own philosophy and will build a new great team and win big. It's only a question of when. It's just that being so attached to a style of playing is bound to make your job harder at adapting to what the other teams play. Madrid are ironically, less proud than Barcelona. They have won 13 CLs but have no issues playing defensive even vs fucking Simeone Madrid, getting dominated by the most anti-domination team of the last 10-15 years in 2016 only to beat them in the most Atletico fashion possible.

Madrid do nothing else than adapt perfectly. Barca have this arrogance where they don't adapt, but instead insist on playing their own way and making everyone else adapt to them. They are at their best something like current City on steroids.

Which is what makes us who we are, some people just don't understand.

It was undermine by you know who, so it will take longer to get back to our core, but it will happen.

Not when that philosphy is based on idea that players like Busquets are the best in world in their position. That is when it fails and taken to extremes as an example.

It is much harder to have that technical advantage now compared to pre Pep also. That team changed football and type of players teams want and clubs have replicated youth system and are in for same players while clubs have much more money across the board to compete with Barca these days compared to then.

Barca can still have a philosophy and win but when use it as an excuse or an 'obligation' to play likes of Busi and think he is best going is too far.

Madrid have realised they cant beat EPL/PSG in open games as dont have that technical edge.. Barca would never adapt the way they have.. fet pumped then claim some moral high ground due to a philosophy.

It has become an idea to hide behind and lack accountability too often for Barca in recent years.

Haha you moan about how shite Torres is then make out they are brining back the Barca philosophy.

Not much has changed in this past season compared to prior ones and not all due to finances.. it is due to thinking players past their best have Barca DNA. Choosing coaches that wont rock boat etc.
