Exactly… Lewandowski should go for way less than Mane.. absolutely no reason why he would cost more. Most players at 34 are retired.

Much better player, much higher profile and marketability. Club don't agree to sell him at all. Barca desperate to get him. Chelsea and PSG willing to fork out the money. So numerous factors.....

Who cares what most players over 34 are? We are talking about 1 player in particular. The one who just got 58 g 18 a for club and country in this "disappointing" season.

True, he's definitely more marketable and has been a top 3 contender for most of the individual awards recently. If we were the one selling him, im very certain we won't have sold him for cheap.

And wingers heavily depend on speed and have a lower date to "expire" whereas a lot strikers age like wine.

Does anyone here have his heart set on Lewandowski?

I am pretty indifferent. He comes for a reasonable fee? Cool. He doesn't? Also cool.

We are fine for another season with Auba.. not like we are expecting to challenge for the CL so Lewa makes no sense. We dicked Madrid with Auba also, the league is possible.

We're not really fine. After the honeymoon period all of Auba, Memphis, Adama have dipped in form.

We need goals from somewhere. But I'm kind of indiferent to Lewandowski coming or not. Was never a fan so maybe that's why.

Yeah, with or without Lewa I doubt we are capable of winning CL if we don't fix fullbacks and goalkeeper.

Also wingers

CL is completely out of the question. The team needs serious rebuilding. Lewy is a 9 100% dependant on service. He cant do things on his own. We need defenders and midfielders.

Use the money to buy young players to grow into a team if these targets are all too expensive.

Take time and spend money properly not huge fees on 34 year olds and huge money for Silva at 28 either. Same goes for Raphinha if want too much.

This.

I'm for Lewa for the right wage and price (30-35m max).

But for the wide positions I really hope we trust our scouting and data department to find someone in a better price range.

Market got no names defenders from Rennes going to EPL for 35m, so it's going to be extremely difficult. especially as we can't move without economic levers confirmed.
