People were saying "We created chances in the past but now we have someone to actually put the balls behind the keeper". It's one thing to score 4 goals every weekend against Schlafenhausen but it's another thing to step up against big teams. How many goals does he have against big teams in the CL since 2014 which helped Bayern advance?

That's why I don't put much stock into his CL numbers.

His group stage stat lines are insane. His CL KO stat lines are very good...but outside of that 4 goal show v RM 10 years ago, he's always underperformed in CL KOs v big teams.

He was wasteful like this v RM in those CL games in 16/17 and 17/18, when Bayern were otherwise near RM level.

All in all, bit of a flat track bully. And no, this is not hating. I would have much preferred to see him be clinical AF and drop a hat trick on those Bavarians.
