That is simply not true. Even when we were not that succesful, we still managed to sign players like Maradona, Cruyff, Ronaldo Nazario etc. Bayern would only dream that these kind of players would join them. That is the sign of a really club : to attract world class players in any circumstances.

Let's not forget we have to contend with Real Madrid, while Bayern has no rival in german football for years. Also Atleti in the last decade is stronger than any other german team not named Bayern. They are better in the last years in the CL, but they were shite for a big period too, while we were THE team in Europe. This happens in cycles. Plus they have only one CL more. Never said that they are not big btw.
