He was ok today. Let's not make it out like he had a stinker. Winning goal, couple decent chances. Made that really nice switch of play to yamal in the first half.

I appreciate your perspective, and it's good to have discussions like these. However, I respectfully disagree and here's why:

While I agree that Lewandowski has been a phenomenal striker in the past, it's hard to ignore the recent trend of his goal-scoring performance. Lately, he seems to be struggling to find the back of the net as frequently as we're used to seeing. This could be a sign of him entering a different phase of his career where the physical demands are taking a toll.

Furthermore, the fact that he's now in his second season with Barcelona adds another layer to the discussion. Sometimes, players take a bit of time to fully integrate into a new team, especially one with a different playing style. This transition period could explain the drop in his goal tally.

While he has undoubtedly achieved a lot and contributed immensely to the world of football, I believe it's important to assess a player's current form and how it aligns with the team's needs. If his scoring continues to be inconsistent and if there are promising young talents waiting for their chance, it might make sense to gradually transition to a new era.

Of course, this isn't to undermine Lewandowski's legacy or his potential to still contribute. It's just a consideration based on his recent performance and the evolving dynamics within Barcelona.
