I gave up hope during the Christmas break, age caught up to him and he almost only scores if somebody bounces the ball off of him...
I hope Flick is starting to realize that if he's THIS bad now, how the fucking hell will he look next season while eating up FFP for like 3 players we could have in his place? Nah, I hope Deco and Fatporta working on something - he can't be here next season, it a fucking joke.

I read these statements by the greatest experts and I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Saying that Lewandowski was never good is like saying that ostriches can fly, they just don't want to. People, Messi himself, many journalists and coaches said that in 2020 Lewandowski should have received the Golden Ball and a year later he was second. Could such a weak player as you claim reach for the Golden Ball twice and be in the top 10 several years in a row? Fuck, no one in the world knows anything about football, so only you. You are full of hatred for him and that's it, and he, being a 70-year-old guy, will be better than you, not only in football, but also in figure, endurance, etc. You envy his career, you envy that Flick is betting on him, you envy that the Barcelona board is extending his contract, you envy his money. You envy everything. There are about 10-15 clubs in Europe with similar player strength, why the fuck is there no scorer like that weak Lewandowski?? I am not a woman as I once wrote, just to laugh at you, I am a 47 year old guy who has been involved with football since I was 7, in every form, so for 40 years now. Reading these comments makes me despair. And the fact that I defended Lewandowski, I did it primarily because I hate people who can only criticize, but when it comes to praise, they have blinkers on. Only a few of you who criticize have any idea what they are writing about and I don't blame them, because constructive criticism is needed. But criticism just for the sake of criticizing is simply childish.

Nobody said Lewa was never good, that is just a strawman point proving you have no argument.
Saying I envy him is laughable when I like him and find him very handsome, and when I defend objectively far better players over him eg Messi, Maradona, R9. If I was envious of someone being better at football than me I would slag messi off all the time. My one and only problem with Lewa is that he's now terrible at football. That's it. Either way, I think you care far too much about Lewy. Who cares if some people don't rate him as much as you do? They're entitled to think that, it's not an echo chamber, is it?

The drop in form in the last 2-3 months is visible. But he is still one of the better poachers. And I respect him for his merits, because if you look at the cross-section of his entire 19-year career, how many such players were there who did not fall below a certain level for so many years? Probably a few, the rest are players of a few seasons at most. Do you think that someone will ever break Lewandowski's record of 5 goals in 9 minutes? He was simply incredibly effective at that time. In Germany, they said that no one would ever break Gerd's record - not only in the number of goals in a season, but in total in the Bundesliga. And what, Lewandowski broke the record by not playing in 5 matches, and if he had stayed at Bayern, this second record would have been broken by now.
Bruh nobody cares what Lewy did before. All we care about is what he will do today and next week. And it's not looking promising.

The problem is you and Tempt and others keep going on about goal records, stats and achievements. I rate players by their all-round game and eye test. I know I am in the minority in that in this Americanised, hyper-stats obsessed world, but I do.
He scores a lot of goals but his all-round game doesn't live up to his stats. Like Cristiano Ronaldo. Like Haaland. Like Bruno Fernandes. Like Rashford.
He's a guy who looks amazing through G/A but I don't see great play throughout the game.

and I agree, but I didn't write anywhere about his all-round game, CR, Messi and many others are better than him in all-round game. I see him as a classic 9, and he was really good at that. And he was good at one more thing - he was never injury-prone, and that is also very important for the club and the coach. BTW. Lewandowski is the most fouled player in Barcelona according to statistics that I saw somewhere...
