9 - Samuel Eto'o

Giving away Etoo still was the right thing to do. He is a diva and we have a striker of similar style and quality in Bojan. Its still debatable whether Bojan should just play instead of an Ibra in lacking form.

Hmmm, I think he probably should, But because of Ibras price i dont think e will be dropped, Plus, wit Ibra it only takes a second for him to be sensational, so i think that will keep him in the team..

But if his form continues like it is just now... it will be difficuult for anyone to justify a place for im in the Starting XI

The thing I like about Eto'o that Ibra unfortunately doesnt do is testing the 'keeper from every angle, he shoots whenever its possible. Ibra's shot is better than Etoo's but he barely shoots and tests the 'keeper.

Yeah true, full credit to Eto'o, he is a real fighter. And not in a Zlatan sense
I dunno, they're two completely different players and Zlatan will come good, I seriously think that he just needs time. It's frustrating, but he needs time.

I know man, I trust Ibra and I was supporting this transfer. Ibra is a better player than Eto'o but the question is; Is he a better player than Eto'o for Barca? I hope so.

Well he hasn't been a dick. He wanted a payrise just like practically everyone before him got. He wasn't offered one and he was offered a new contract inappropriately through SMS? or in best case in haste. He wanted to stay in Barca but Pep wanted to change him , just as he wanted a season ago and that was that. Nothing else to it. To talk about Eto who has been here for 5 years in terms of his greediness while you have Ibra who just sprang here and was instantly given the best paycheck in the squad is double standards. And Ibra supposedly loves Barca whereas Eto was labeled as mercenary. See how illogical is that.
On top of that Eto pulled one of his best seasons at Barca after he was told to bugger off in summer of 2008.

hear hear :worthy::worthy:

it would have been much cheaper to give eto a pay raise and give messi his raise than waste all that money on ibra's transfer fee, his pay check and then messi's pay check.

It would have been much cheaper, but we all know that Eto'o's time at Barca had come to an end. Just get over it. He was meant to leave, Eto'o and Barca didn't work any longer for personal reasons and for sporting reasons too. Perhaps we haven't gotten the right replacement, i'm sure Ibra will prove himself, but Eto'o had to go and that's the end of it. Eto'o pulled off one of his best seasons after he was told to bugger off in the summer of 2008 precisely because he is such a self-driven player, he needs to be given challenges like that, he needs to be hated. He's the opposite of Dinho - Dinho can't stand the pressure, Eto'o loves the pressure. The only pressure Eto'o can't take is when he's trying to win the Pichichi and the whole team bows down before him to help him out :p Anyway, Eto'o was crap and he was being a d*** at the end of 2007 and it was Pep's treatment of him (no matter how bad you may consider it to be) that turned him around and made him score a boatload of goals the following season.
His treatment afterwards - now that's debatable. I think however that we can't let personal attachments get in the way of the club trying to achieve its plans. Financially the deal was horrible but no matter what it had to happen. Should have been slightly differnet though, admittedly, like something to do with Villa, or less cash for Ibra. But we still got Maxwell on the cheap because of the deal so it evens out a little.

ok, Maxwell really sucks so that deal is about right and it does not hinder the wasted money we spent on ibra. i do agree it was eto's time to leave but ffs get a cheaper replacement in terms of transfer fee and salary

Maxwell doesn't suck! We've gotten a good deal for Maxwell and a horrible deal for Ibra sort of. Anyway yes I agree what you mean about the transfer fee and salary, but I think that the club can afford it pretty well and hopefully Zlatan will come good.

Hello, I am a fan of Inter and i live italy
I want to tell you how we see Fans of Samuel Eto'o
It 'a great player who has hit the sacrifice that does for the team and score as much because plays from second striker or winger.
Since the cup is back in Africa do not see very polished but I personally think that the EC is trying hard to return the real lion that is.
But there are those fans who criticize him because it makes few goals but you forget that he is not doing the first point.

Eto'o's hard work is definitely opening up space for Inter...he might not create the way Ibra does but he fits into the system well and opens up space for Milito and others with his willingness to do a bit of everything.

Sammy has been really wasteful, as he was last year...it was time for a change at Barca, especially as he and Pep will never see eye to eye, but I do miss him.

If Inter makes it to the CL finals by some chance I'd bet anything that Samu will score.
