The papers from Barcelona are hilarious..

Eto'o should join Mallorca where he made his name. The game that solidified him as my favourite striker in La Liga was when he absolutely tore apart Real Madrid. Beat like 4 players in the penalty box and scored. Tore Carlos a new hole
the best part about this move that it was in the Bernabeu. I will never foreget what he did that night.
oh fuck yea.....roy was the man and just seeing this Dutchman anywhere reminds me when Depor won La Liga back in 2000...things changed. La Liga changed. Depor changed.it was in Bernabeu, wow I forgot that. It was such an amazing goal as I remember it. I haven't seen video of it since it happened (2003 maybe) but it has stuck in my mind. Definitely the moment Eto'o became my favourite striker in La Liga, despite Roy Mackay tearing it up for Depor.

We didn't win it this year did we.La Liga was by far and away the best league in the world at that time. Such a strong Valencia in those days as well. Winning La Liga is much easier now but I would love to see Depor get back to their best........The TV deal will only make the difference between the top 2 and others grow which I don't think will help La liga.
If things continue as they are then I wouldn't mind a super-league. La Liga is becoming more like SPL at the moment......

I know it's cool these days to blame RM, Barca and their TV deal(and with good reason), but if you would read more about clubs like Zaragoza, Sporting, Racing, Atletico you would realize it was their poor management that lead them to debts of hundreds of millions and even if new TV deals would be renegotiated(which I hope they will), for some of these clubs might be too late.
