AC Milans team isn't shite at all, on paper it's actually a very decent side with some quality youngsters, your De sciglio, Cristante Berlusconi handpicked Seedorf as his coach, so I expect him to be backed, but in my opinion it's more about tactics, only the backups need an overhaul Nocerino etc. but anyway very excited with Seedorf, love him to bits and I've always said he will be a great coach, he has everything.

Yeah, I agree, the players are good enough, it's the coaching/tactics that needs fixing.

Milan have about 5 players of real class. The rest are dross and I include Kaka in the latter.

Ed I like you, but you have some bizarre opinions, Kaka is probably the best player in the squad without shadow, he didn't turn shit just because mourinho didn't play him, I was always of the opinion he never lost it, and his play pretty much proved it

Here in The Netherlands, there is a lot of optimism but there are also a lot of doubters.
Here, Seedorf has always been known as 'smart' and 'a leader' and during his career as a player he was already nicknamed 'coach' by some people.
There are obviously a lot of pros and cons but in the end I think this is a good call by Milan.
Seedorf is a leader, brings in a lot of new and fresh ideas, is a club legend with a lot of credit and last but not least... Mario Balotelli has said that he looks up to him and was a big fan when Mario still was a kid, so Seedorf is THE man to motivate Balo.
People argue they should've brought in Van Basten as he has similar qualities to Seedorf and more experience. Another Person rumoured to become the coach was Maldini.
I'm curious to see how Milan will hopefully improve.

Kaka turned shit before Mourinho ever got near him. I say that as a huge Kaka fan back in the day he was world class. I may be unlucky but for the various times I've watched Milan this season either in serie a or CL he's not been that good.

If he is as you say the best player in the Milan squad then Milan are in more trouble than I thought.

Milan should build the team around De Sciglio, Montolivo, Honda, De Jong and El Shaarawy. I would say Balotelli but he is too unstable to include in the nucleus of players to build upon.

Apart from that the rest of the squad needs major surgery. Milan haven't had a quality keeper since Dida. Abbiati and Amelia are not good enough. The rest of the back four apart from De Sciglio are dreadful.

Milan's best asset is the midfield. The solidity of Montolivo and De Jong with the addition of Honda and Kaka gives that creative spark too. Attack with Balotelli and El Shaarawy can be brilliant one day and a complete dud the next. Both have lots of quality though. But as I said Balotelli is too unstable to build the forward line around.

Apart from players though the first thing Seedorf needs to do is to give Milan back their identity again because for me that has been lost the past few years. I look forward to how he brings his technical expertise to the squad and how he implements this and whatever system he wants to play.

I think a huge turnaround in players will be a bad thing though. It needs to be a gradual process and I'd start at the back and get that right first. Midfield and attack can be fine tuned for now for 14/15. But the defence needs real reinforcement - IMO.

Players I'd target who'd I think would be attainable are:- Ricardo Rodriguez - left back currently at Wolfsburg. I actually hope Liverpool put a bid in for him in the summer but he is a great up and coming talent and has all the assets you could wish for, for a left back. Others in that position I'd go for are Criscito, Ansaldi, Monreal, Santon, Martins Indi. None of those should be out of Milan's price range.

Central defence I'd target the likes of:- Zouma, Papadopoulos, Abdennour, Agger, Coloccini, Otamendi, Lovren, Fazio, Matip, Mikel San Jose, Ginter. Again none of those should be out of your price range and all would offer improvement and stability in defence.

For GK I'd try and get one of Adler, Valdes, Begovic or Krul. Begovic would be the one I'd target.

Spend £25m on Begovic, Monreal and Papadopoulos (for example) and you'd have a much more solid defence.

The part above is of course realms of football management on my part but I am just using that as an example that Milan can improve their squad without spending big money and improve certain areas which for me needs improvement.

Kaka doesn't shine as often as he did but he still does, at least a couple of times per match still.

Honda is their new kaka though :tito:

. From all the past players Van Basten, Rino, Maldini, Pippo. Seedorf has the ultimate personality to be coach and your right he will be the best coach for Balo because Seedorf has the character to relate to everybody, but Mario needs to help himself, either way I prefer Pazzini as CF.

I agree with most of what you said & the team shouldn't be built around Kaka, but he is still the man. I remember the times you said you didn't rate Thiago Silva
sorry eddy, happy birthday though :D
