That's an immensely critical angle to what i find to be Vilanova truly demonstrating his cojones - being succesful with a risky, surprising decision.Now we are just throwing LB to any position on the backline and hope it works?
Both Adriano and Masch play bigger than they actually are, they are strong and jump well. Adriano might be able to learn how to be a serviceable CB, but that would not come about right away. I think is has more aptitude for CB than Song does.
But guy like Ramos are tall and can jump well, I seen when he came running in and got an easy free header, should have scored, never ever again unless it is an emergency like last night.
i think what matters is that we have many short players and particularly last night we had only Busquets who as we all know isnt good on the air so we were lucky that Ramos didnt score that chance or madrid didnt score from any other set piece
that was a corner situation so it doesn't really matter if adriano were a CB or LB in that situation
