Betis LB was much more attacking because there isn´t a RW to worry about.

You are right that he'd have to stay back more if he'd have to worry about Messi but that said Riza Durmisi is usually a very attacking minded LB. Betis also play with 5 at the back so both wingbacks can push forward but Durmisi is doing that much more than Puccini on the other side. I really like Durmisi and it seems Liverpool is willing to pay his 20M clause.

Vidal seems to have the makings of being a productive winger. In the final third, he does a lot, much appreciated. He does not do well bringing the ball upfield, or defending, so he can't play RB for Barca. He was bad against the Betis press. A team like Atletico Madrid would fully expose him.

Vidal can only safely play against the least potent opponents. S. Roberto has no viable backup for the bigger games.
