Aleix Vidal

I like him less with every game, bad in defense, whatever.

I dont get why wont he take anyone on, he should have the speed, not a single attempt ever.

I am also disappointed with his performance. Gets caught up losing possession and doesn't have Dani's positioning to stop the attacks.

Adapting to Barca won't be easy for him as I thought.

Bellerin to be brought to compete with him to a RB starting spot if Dani leaves in the summer.

At this point, I am not a big fan of either his offensive or defensive contributions. Right now, his best attribute is decent recovery pace to provide cover at either end of the pitch but I don't see him being very good at either.

It's early but I don't see a player good enough offensively to mask his defensive deficiencies, and vice versa. I feel like he's, at best, a backup RB.

Bellerin remains a work in progress and benefits from great speed more than anything. Plus, he doesn't sound like a player itching to come back to Barcelona

i have always believed that arda and alexei are both an electorial signings .. big spending for very little addition so far .. we could have copped perfectly without the two this HALF a season .. instead we throwed around 65 millions .. Alves is aging and there is a lack of world class RBs , real Madrid with all the money of the world ended up bringing Daniello / the only player that i can think of to improve our side is Bellerin as someone mentioned before .. but what are the odds of recruiting him, arsenal are no longer a selling side.

Absolutely, and technically signings that were not permitted based on the club statutes but Bartomeu did it anyway

Vidal was slightly kneejerk IMHO and perhaps even poor planning since the club had likely believed Alves was not going to stay...When the club called on Dani's bluff, as it would seem, then they were stuck with 2 RBs....But in the end, Vidal can still be a serviceable squad player but I don't see him as a starter for this team

Turan is a tougher issue to figure out since his best position is on the left where Iniesta typically plays...Plus, he's rumoured to have disliked the intensity & running of Simeone's approach which made it stranger still that Lucho would advocate for his signing...Very skilled player but will he ultimately fit in our midfield? Still too early to tell but definitely an electoral signing

The club will need to scour the market for a future RB for Barcelona along with a CB & wide forward (Provided Deulofeu isn't brought back)

I doubt we are going for any more RB's for awhile.

And I also doubt Bellerin wants to come back here any time soon. I'm giving both Arda and Vidal a chance to get settled in more and in Vidal's case a chance to improve in the RB spot. Lucho wanted both Vidal and Arda and he won't give up on them so easily.

Also another LB is much more needed than a RB at this point.

Arda doesn't dislike running or working off the ball he just want to have the ball more in his possesion which he'll get here. We have 60-70% possesion in most games and Atletico around 40-50%. A big difference.

I don't get this. Why would he be an electoral signing? We sign him because Lucho wanted him, that's it.

Neither Aleix or Arda have blown my skirt up so far, but they haven't been bad either.I've still got faith in both, although there full worth will only be realised at the end of May.

To put it another way, both were bought to bolster the squad right ? Neither have let us down dramatically since they started playing and they allow us to rotate without significantly weakening the team.

Aleix may be suspect defensively atm, but he's quick and always lucks for the cut back (on the floor) when he gets to the by line.

I think that as with every other signing - they need time to adapt. Arda and Aleix will get better next season or maybe even at the end of this one. Arda just needs to fit in better - he has everything else. Aleix is a workhorse who'll never give up.
