It was never clear that he was a Lucho signing, the deal was a violation of how the club is supposed to be run and rightly viewed as an electoral stunt. Even when Enrique was asked about the deal during the election he never gave the impression it was a move he sanctioned.

It's a strange signing, despite being a great player - just question whether he will ultimately fit. I do think it's too early to judge whether he will fit in but in terms of needs, neither were the ideal signings for squad balance, IMHO

More twisting of truth by FCBarca who makes things up to suit his agenda.

Lucho did request Vidal -

"I made it clear before I went on holiday which players I wanted, and the two players -- Turan and Vidal -- that we considered important have arrived.

"I wanted both to arrive here as soon as possible. I am delighted and I take the opportunity to congratulate Barca's interim management for signing Turan, a key player for us and whom we have a lot of confidence in.

"The ideal scenario that I wanted is the one we have."

It isnt against club statutes for interim board to sign players. The statutes are open to interpretation and been discussed for years with differing opinions if players can be signed or not.

Riiight, that's why there was the peculiar return policy clause in Arda's transfer (With 10% penalty). Easy to rewrite history if you're an apologist but we know Laporta secured Pogba in his campaign which forced Barto to find an alternative when rebuffed in their approach for the player

As for Lucho sanctioning this move, he never confirmed this during the elections, not once - he was asked repeatedly about it & asked expiicitly to corroborate Barto's election campaign claim that Turan was by request of the coach.

Electoral stunt

The quote from Lucho which quite clearly states he wanted the player and praised the interim board was from before the vote in the elections. So again you are just making things up.

Just like you are making up the Pogba thing and thats why the focus was switched to Turan.

So Lucho a liar who just covered for the Pogba deal going wrong.

i understand your positions and i have read both of your arguments .. let's set a premise here .. there will always be a bromance between a new coach and the president who basically gave him the trust and the job .. just look at the relashionship between Pep and Laporta , it's very comparable to the one between Partemou and Lucho , so the fact that Lucho backs him and give him his blessing is not a 100 % sportive thing, it's almost like a " i owed you this one bro " thing

Turan is a great player and also Vidal and given the right amount of time i'm sure they will prove themselves useful to some degree, but i stand by my position , those were some panic buys for electoral and Fifa sanction issues combined, because the best and most rational decision was to save the money til the summer 2016 and sign a player that can walks into our starting eleven withouht much trouble.

I have another thing to say, just wait for next summer and you will face the ugly truth , thanks to our maniac spending on Turan ( 29 and something years old ) and vidal i doubt we would have the cash to sign any big player .. just mark my words , i can see us spending around 20 millions at most

Bellerin has stated he will not come to us and would rather stay at Arsenal.

Even if he did I'm sure his decision could be overturned with a proper strategy, work and patience... You just simply cannot give Barca for Arsenal especially being a La Masia.

IIRC weren't Turan and Vidal, Lucho's conditions for renewing his contract?

Not heard that but he did say he wanted them as early as possible and applauded the interim board for getting them in.

I think both have done fine and Arda had a better game the other night and seems to be freeing up a bit.

That's a great answer

But really, I want to see him play more. He started so well, and I miss his accurate crossed passes when behind the defense (please take note, Alba!). Hopefully he'll get to start the next game against Getafe, or as my Arsenal fanboy friends call them - Gaddafi FC. but also
