Vidal is very, very average. Barca B level. Had decent moments going forward, but other than that, he makes me squirm in my chair.

It's clear to see why he was benched for most of last season. It is not clear why the club sees fit to rely on him and Roberto as our only RBs. The guy is Douglas level defensively and that isn't even an exaggeration.

Gives me shivers everytime I think about Oleguer, my word he was a disaster.

But it's clear for anyone really looking that Vidal is never going to work as a starting RB for Barcelona, simply not good enough

Arda & Vidal were kneejerk election stunts, no two ways about it - throw in the looking transfer ban the board was guilty of doing nothing about to avert and it is an unmitigated disaster. Were it not for the emergence of Roberto being converted into a makeshift RB, we would be quite far up the proverbial creek without a paddle

Truth is, I'm not sure how well we will play overall since so much of Barcelona's attack over the last decade emanated from the right side and that link between Alves & Messi. The more Leo drifts centrally, the less impact we will have on the right thereby shifting a defense's attention to the other 2/3 of the pitch.

Barca will play with a handicap until that right flank is improved and that will also eventually include a RW (Dybala??) with the RB

We will see this recurring sequence during the season, Aleix sliding in late while the attacker skips past him into danger

Should try Digne as a RB for the times Roberto won't be available. He is a disaster waiting to happen and Barca simply should not allow that. Barcalona cannot stand only in one imrpovised RB which is Roberto...
