I think they should sell him in January if he is not going to play a role.

He won't have a significant role, imo. He'll play when Busi needs rest, and maybe if Tata uses the double pivot on away tough games. That would be a good idea, let's hope Tata also sees it.

Lets hope Busi plays the Xavi role some time as well.

We should let him go,buy a new CB and rotate Masch with Busi.

That's the plan for January. SOng will be offloaded a true inexpensive CB will be brought in (maybe from Argentina) and Mascherano will be playing CB/DM whenever. Depending on how things go, acquiring an expensive CB in the summer will be in question.

That would work with someone who's a genuine DM next to him / behind him. Song is not. Mascherano would probably fit that bill best.

How about both Masch and Song as double pivot, with Busi and Iniesta in front of them?

Why are you so sure of this?

Song is cool, I don't want to sell him. Mascherano is a decent enough CB and Song is a good DM, not to mention he didn't cost us a lot. He's got a ton of potential (those who have seen him at Arsenal know) and he could turn out as an amazing physical CM for us yet. I have a lot of faith in Song and we have no reason to offload him.

I want to see more of him. I hope Martino gives him some playtime! Song is not a bad player by far, but we're going to make him feel unwanted by limiting him to this measly amount of minutes.

I don't understand why we bought this amazing player if we don't use him at all. Should be a starter in C1 against strong teams, AC Milan part of them and should rotate a lot more with Busquets and Xavi IMO.
If Tata makes him useless as Tito did, he should go back in London.

Amazing, not really. I'd call him a good to very good first division player. Good enough to be a Barca backup, not even close to being good enough to get regular playing time except when the starter is injured. A team the level of Barca needs players of this level to be available when needed. Sure, they might want to leave after a few years, but that is fine for them and fine for Barca.

Tito is willing to use the double pivot, but only at the end of games when Barca has the lead. It is not the Barca way to go into any game with a defensive-type setup.
