Song was never as important to us as Yaya was.
If Song leaves it'll be Yaya all over again, he'll boss it in another team and we'll realise how badly we used him. Why don't we simply start playing him in his correct position, he is a very good squad player; we just bought him for the wrong reasons.
Yaya's former importance to us gets seriously overstated on this board.
Which is his correct position? Cm? If so, there's Cesc, Iniesta and Xavi ahead of him. Also, song shouldn't be getting Roberto's minutes. Getting him was a bad decision. He should go.
4 for 2 is enough. Roberto is barely playing, and there has been injuries.4 players for 2 positions isn't good depth, especially considering how Xavi is old and Iniesta is nearing 30 as well, if even one of our players gets injured and we sell Song, we'll have problems.
All I said was that Song never was as important to us as Yaya, which is true.

Roberto is not good enough to replace Iniesta or Xavi.
I'd be much comfortable with a Busq,Song,Cesc midfield than a Busq,Roberto,Cesc midfield if injuries happen to that degree.
There's still a lot of La masia delusion on this board.
We should Gundogan but only if we can give him a starting role. Otherwise, Koke for backup?
Seeing how great thiago is doing as a pivotal player at Bayern makes me question why we sold him and bought Song... and I doubt Thiago is getting paid anywhere near Songs salary.
He is.
