The difference is that Real sold Di Maria, Ozil, Higuain for really big fees, while we let all our player go for peanuts, if Real were selling Cesc, Alexis or Yaya they would have gotten double the money we got

Those three were seen as good first team players that were quite unlucky for Real Madrid to be selling them and had done a good job. They were not really seen as being not good enough at Real bar perhaps Higuain.

People on one breath claimed that Di Maria was the reason Real won the CL then next say Cesc can only play half a season yet are shocked when those players go for different amounts.

Ozil and Di Maria had been more important players for Real than the likes of Sanchez or Cesc were for Barca.

Of those 3 only Higuain was really overpriced. Alexis was not special before he was sold. Some people try to make him a Barca star - he was not. We were lucky he had good WC, so we sold him quite well. Di Maria was in top form when he was sold, considered to be second best player in Real. Ozil was star of Real too, although there were some rumors about his work ethics. Fabregas was a little undervalued, but not by much (he had not the best season either). Real sells better, because they often sell players when they are on their absolute peak. Barca would never voluntarily sell such player.

No they dont. They got more than 40m euros for freaking Robinho 6 years ago which was alot. Ozil was not better than Cesc and they got much more for him from a poorer club in a less inflated market than last year when we sold Cesc. We sold Cesc for 33m to Chelsea and Chelsea sold Schurrle for the same price they paid for Cesc. That's ricidulous. RM getting 20m for Illarramendi is amazing matter how we spin it. We sold Ibra for 24m euros. They also got alot of money for Albiol, Callejon and Lass Diarra. But the thing is that RM tend to buy players with much better value. Highly rated players in their early 20s. They dont buy Mathieus and Vermaelens.

We had to buy "ready" players like Mathieu and Vermaelen, because of our ban. It's not like we had any other choice. We needed players who can play right now and those were the guys available to us at that time. I'm sure our management would love to get some other players as well, but right now they just can't.

The club was more than willing to pay top sum for "not so ready" players like Marquinhos. We bid 44m for him..... The problem as always was going for the wrong target, another PSG player.

Alexis had his beast season in a Barca shirt and had a great WC and was sold for just 40 mil, while James was sold for 80 because of a great WC, Di Maria had only 2 great months in the season, luckily for him that was at the end of the season ad he was sold for 75 mil, Alexis was also in top form, if it wasn't for Godin, Alexis would have won us the league, and Cesc for all his flaws in the second half of the season is a much better player than Ozil ever was or will ever be, also Cesc was misused in our system so he could not show his full potential

Vermaelen could play right away? That's funny. He didnt play a single minute. Of course we were not forced to buy the cripple. It was our choice. And giving 31 year old Mathieu a 4 year contract is just...We are already looking for another CB after signing two CBs and Masche-Pique is still the first choice. There is zero long term planning at our club it seems.

But Vermaelen and Mathieu were just examples of the trend. We generally dont buy highly rated players in their early 20s. Look at who RM have bought in the last couple of years. Almost exclusively players like Kroos, Isco, Danilo etc. Young players in their early 20s with a long career ahead of them. We almost exclusively buy players who are looking for their last big contract with very low sell-on value. It has been going on for many years.

What is gonna happen with this guy ? It looks like he's not yet fit to pass the medical with West Ham so he'll probably stay here for another 6months.
Why don't we use him ? The club pay his wages and I prefer to see him on the bench than the likes of Camara and Gumbau.

Same here. If he's going to stay, we might as well register him and use him until he leaves. We need all the midfielders we can get. And as much as he wasn't a sensational transfer and turned out to be a nutcase, he can handle being a backup, and more than that.
